Currently under construction on Star Ravenhurst's grid 10thDimension is 'Raven Gate', an 8x8 Var where the landscape tells a story that you will be able to explore via the 'Quest' format, meeting brand new characters who will help you discover clues and thus unfold the narrative, ultimately discovering the key to the mystery.

The project is out of the gate, but miles of road lie ahead before they reach the finish line, and open the quest to the public. There's still plenty to place, choose, refine. design, and animate, so some of the things you'll see in these photos will change radically, not only in their development but also the preferred Environment lighting. Also, if you're a builder or scripter and are looking to be part of a group project, this may be somewhere for you to shine, contact Star to learn more. 'Raven Gate' promises dark secrets, magic, tragedy... but in the end redemption and triumph. The idea for this project came to her last year in the fall, and it's a long term job. Why so?

Safari Countdown

 It's just ten days until the new season of  HG Safari begins, on Wednesday September 4 at 12 noon Pacific time. otherwise known as SLT or Grid Time. 

If you are familiar with our region on OSGrid, please be advised that the OSGrid region is no longer online. HG Safari now has a new home.

Once again, we will have ten weeks of visits to different grids and regions all across opensim, visiting art and tech builds, some representing real places, others inspired by fiction and fantasy. It will be an opportunity to make new friends, meet builders, learn about projects, passions, and of course problems that all come together to make up the Opensim experience.

Free Life in the City

This week's trip took us first to FreeLife Grid, the home of Victor DeAngelo. Our handsome host, noted for his many freebies and his kind and helpful spirit, awaited us on his Central City region. The HG Address is of course in the usual place.

As you know, the Safari generally avoids malls because the combination of thousands of textures, a dozen avies, and less than an hour to take the tour makes for a lag challenge of immense proportions, so you may notice some of the pictures - and Jessica Pixel's livestreamed video walkthrough - had a few details missing here and there.
