Osgrid turns 18

Well, it's official. At the end of this month OSgrid will turn 18, old enough to get a tattoo, go skydiving, and vote. And of course, the grid is celebrating with the traditional show-and-tell festivities on the OSGB regions.
Spaces are still available, although many are already spoken for, so don't wait too long - get building! At time of posting, there will be at least three exhibition sims, each with a dozen or more original installations, rides, gifts, and exhibitions celebrating the diverse and ingenious group of people who make up the OSGrid population.
To get a parcel, contact one of the grid Admin. Who are the Osgrid Admin?  Dan Banner, Paela Osgrid, Sarah Klein, Foxx Bode, Wizard Atazoth, AlbertR Landar, and Aussie Envee. Aussie organizes the Event Plaza music shows which of course will be a big part of the festivities. And speaking of music...
LadyJo Martin will be one of the DJs - here she is looking cute as can be on Event Plaza sim. Her focus is the entertainment and music side of the Birthday bash, and she is delighted to still be part of this vibrant community. The recent asset wipe and down time of the grid has not phased her a bit. She has her own personal grid, like so many of us, but there's something special about the crossroads of Opensim.
LadyJo Martin
Ladyjo Martin: hard to believe I've been here 14 years... I love osgrid and no matter where I may roam osgrid is my home... I love my grid, ladys dreamworld, but my heart belongs to osgrid.
Not to show you too much detail, but this is OSG18B2 region, and as you can see it has that OSGrid logo shape to it, with the parcels spread out to give everyone the space they need. These three installs  which are on OSG18B1 give you an idea of the range of interactive stuff to do.
From left to right, the blue column is an underwater experience by Prince of Amor, the multicolored metal thingamy in the foreground is by Jeff Hall, who always scripts fun and imaginative stuff, and to the right, a build by Prodyck, whose love of everything futuristic and mechanical is known across the hyperverse. How do the rides work? Well - go try them out! HG Addresses of course at the end of the post. Post in the comments about your experience!
Matilda Charron
While you're not strictly obliged to follow it, the event does have an overall theme, and this year it's 'The Beach', here is a little sneak peek at the display built by the lovely Matilda Charron
With her polka dot beach dress and her long lustrous hair, she's the epitome of a seafront siren. Matilda has managed  to fit plenty into the build, from the Cheerleaders dancing (yes, you can join in!) to the donuts and the pearl jewelry gifts. There's also a fun new (for me) experience when you walk on the icy floor under the tent... but I'll let you discover that for yourself.
Watch your step on Matilda's build...
Thirza Ember: ok so if I ask "why Matilda loves osgrid",  you'd say...
Matilda Charron: oh gosh, you put this in better words than me ok? I love osgrid because it is THE grid. There are so many clever, creative people here. That is not to say other grids are lacking but I love the people, feel very at home here, it's a community with regular events to catch up with friends. I like that it is a development grid which is changing for the better all the time.
