Built by Jimmy Olsen, Norge is a residential region where lots of his friends have houses, some even farms. Our driver was Xenon Darrow (you may remember our last outing with her at the wheel, on Iceland). Tessa aka Contessa Lacombe provided all the info and was a charming, elegant guide.

Our perfect guide, Tessa Lacombe. |
The pictures may seem a little grey and gloomy, but that's the desired effect here. Jimmy, although located in RL in Brazil, is a huge fan of Norway, and he tries to mirror the RL Norwegian weather and time of day on this region... more about that later! In this picture you see Tessa, easily distinguished with her elfin features and to her left, Forest Azure, dressed in a warm sweater. It's always hard to dress 'right' for a Safari, unless the two destinations have the same theme, which they rarely do. In this case, the first hour was medieval and the second contemporary/Viking Norway, so between us all, we were perfectly appropriate for the whole thing.
Arriving was a tiny bit rocky so, quick note - if you've been having trouble teleporting to Wolf Territories Grid, as a few of us did during this Safari tour, please don't dismay. Many of us have been getting 'Unable to verify' type messages when hypergrid jumping here - it is just a passing glitch. No offense meant.
Those who had issues making the hop from Destination 1 soon discovered that by relogging we were able to get to WTG, and so a motley crew of different looking avatars from a bunch of different grids and RL parts of the world all gathered on a castle rooftop to be greeted by out three hosts.
This region is, we should point out right away, more of a Norwegian pastiche rather than an inworld copy of anyone city, it doesn't have for example the landmark buildings of Tromsø like the Polaria or or the Ølhallen brewery and pub, or the ice sea Cathedral - to visit those inworld, you can go over to CCI grid, as the Safari did back in 2023. Instead, on Jimmy's Norge, you'll find an impressive road system through the mountains, dozens of rural vistas and both rich homesteads and cute townships, plus places for dancing and freebie shopping, and more.
Xenon Darrow: Hi everyone!
Tessa: Thirza, let me know when everyone is here.
Thirza Ember: forest was struggling, and a couple of others have had to relog, give it a minute or two
James Atlloud: I made the jump without issue. Just a short while to load textures... though maybe I should ask - am I wearing clothes?
Luna Lunaria: Dings is all bones
eva Nowicka: or wires :D
Dings Digital: I had to switch avatars
Thirza Ember: ok that's everyone if Forest is here, we are good to go.
Forest Azure: i am
Xenon Darrow: whoo! Tessa is our illustrious tour guide as I will be driving! take it away, Tessa!
Tessa: And that should scare you all! lol ... Welcome to Norge: Your Gateway to Virtual Tromsø. Step into the heart of Norge, a breathtaking virtual region inspired by the northern magic of Tromsø, Norway. Spanning four interconnected 4x4 regions, Norge invites you to explore a landscape where fjord-side serenity meets whimsical adventure. Norge is more than a virtual region—it’s part of a grand creative journey led by visionary builder Jimmy Olsen, who’s on a mission to bring every country in the European Union to life through immersive digital landscapes.

Xenon and Luna - shiny happy people. |
Luna Lunaria: aint skeered
Thirza Ember: not yet ... I hope everyone has increased their travel insurance since last time
Tessa: Your arrival point is a cozy Scandinavian town nestled beneath snow-kissed peaks. Here’s what awaits: The Castle Landing Point: A majestic stone fortress rises above the town square, anchoring your arrival with regal charm and panoramic views. A Quaint Church Across the Way: Just a short stroll from the castle, this humble chapel offers quiet reflection and architectural grace. Scandinavian-style homes dot the landscape, their warm wood textures and steep roofs echoing the region’s real-world heritage.

Tessa: Following the frosty charm of Iceland, Norge marks another international masterpiece, inspired by the northern beauty of Tromsø, Norway. With each build, Jimmy blends cultural homage with interactive design, crafting spaces that invite exploration, celebration, and connection. How long will it take to complete the entire EU? Only time—and imagination—will tell. But for now, Norge stands as a testament to what’s possible when artistry meets ambition.
Tessa: *points* That would be the quaint church. *smiles*
Xenon Darrow: A great place to have your norwegian themed wedding
Not everyone loves churches, but nobody doesn't like riding around above a fabulous sim in a flying Viking 'langskip' and we all jumped in willingly to enjoy the ride around the sim, occasionally flying through the roads rather than above them, and once in a while hitting a rocky outcrop. This ship didn't even get a scratch. Marvelous creation.
Since the area covered is so vast, walking it would take many hours, so this was a great way for the group to stay together, and be able to observe and comment what we were looking at below. Pretty soon we arrived at our next stop, a short hike took us to an interesting modern building with great views over the mountain range.
Tessa: And for a change of pace... Havna Disko. Ready to dance under the northern lights? This lively venue is your go-to for music, movement, and midnight revelry.
Xenon Darrow: It's small and modest, but again, indicative of a small lounge
Dings Digital: wooohooo... disco time
Xenon Darrow: Always a good time... it's like one of those quiet discos where everyone wears the headphones

Thirza Ember: sorry we got overexcited
Sven Ingersoll: premature elevation
Tessa: This is Jimmy’s Dynamic Weather System. Norge doesn’t just look immersive—it feels immersive, thanks to the brilliant scripting talents of Jimmy Olsen. You may already know his popular weather system, but this latest evolution takes realism to a whole new level. With the help of ChatGPT, Jimmy has crafted an interface-driven weather system that pulls real-time conditions from anywhere in the world. Just enter a city, country, or even longitude and latitude, and watch the skies respond instantly.
Sven Ingersoll: take a deep breath
Tessa: And it’s not just data; it’s mesh-driven magic. The system comes with dynamic mesh elements that visually reflect the current weather: falling snow, shimmering rain, swirling fog, and more. It’s free, it’s seamless, and it’s a testament to Jimmy’s creative genius. So, whatever the weather is in rl in Norway.... That's what the weather will be HERE~
James Atlloud: Amazing!
Tessa: Yeah..you can get a copy of the system for yourself! As in real world Tromso, the bells will periodically sound. These are no ordinary bells. They’re tuned to the real-life bells of Tromsø, ringing out in sync with the rhythms of the northern city itself. Whether you’re strolling past the castle or pausing near the church, the soundscape grounds you in a shared reality—bridging virtual and physical worlds with every toll. It’s a subtle but powerful touch, reminding visitors that Norge isn’t just inspired by Tromsø—it’s connected to it.:D

Xenon at the helm! |
Xenon Darrow: Sorry but if you checked the clause in your insurance, there is an exclusion: "Unless Xenon Darrow is driving"
Tessa: From Highways to the Heavens: Your Ride Awaits NOW...up to the roof for Xenon's big ride!
Star Ravenhurst: This boat is fabulous!
Forest Azure: we can always take your bus, Xenon
Xenon Darrow: Only if you want terror. These roads are CRAZY
Jimmy Olsen: we tried the bus.... it only takes 2 min and then, death lol
Thirza Ember: sit towards the back, that's the best advice in case of crashing
Xenon Darrow: Is there anyone not on the boat??
Eva Nowicka: shit, kirk douglas is missing :D
Jimmy Olsen: i hear the wood cracking... someone here is fat..
Tessa: Norge isn’t just scenic—it’s connected. Thanks to Jimmy Olsen’s masterful highway system, you can cruise across all four regions with ease. Wide, well-paved roads wind through valleys, loop around lakes, and stretch into distant villages, offering a road trip experience as immersive as the landscapes themselves.
Luna Lunaria: this is my fav way to explore
Tessa: Fasten your cloak, grab your horn of mead (or coffee), and prepare for a sky-high journey through Norge’s next region…
Nara Nook: checking for my road rescue number
Tosha Tyran: I'm cold, someone has some hot wine here?
Jimmy Olsen: shouts: MAYDAY MAYDAY! WE ARE LOST!
Thirza Ember: Is it me or have we already done like 4 u turns???
Jimmy Olsen: Thirza is missing already the bus lol
Luna Lunaria: forgot to take Dramamine
Thirza Ember: who feels safer in this boat?
Tessa: I do not....
eva Nowicka: The most dangerous thing is Luna's hair
Star Ravenhurst: It will be fine. We can trust Xenon.
Tessa: Welcome to the heart of Norge’s countryside—a vibrant farming region where tradition and creativity grow side by side. This pastoral haven is lovingly tended by Xenon Darrow and Contessa LaCombe, with support from caretakers across the realm who lend their hands as inspiration strikes. The Party Barn: Rustic beams, twinkling lights, and open space make this barn the perfect venue for seasonal gatherings, impromptu dances, and cozy community events.
Xenon Darrow: get up lazy pony!!!
Petlove Petshop: hooray the horse recovered
James Atlloud: I believe it was the work of Xenon
Xenon Darrow: Goddess of Chaos and Healing ;p
Walking across a few fields we saw the farming area used by Xenon and Tessa, and the various houses and outhouses that comprise their little bit of paradise on this sim, including a novel approach to the xmas season - a 'year round Christmas', partly perhaps because in this part of the world, winter lasts from November to April.
Tessa: In the real world Tromsø, the first snow has already fallen—a gentle reminder that nature, too, takes time to breathe. The air is crisp, the soil still, and the greenhouses nearby stand ready to cradle the next cycle of life. Winter rapidly approaches. This moment of pause is part of the rhythm of Norge—a place where seasons shape the story, and even silence feels alive.

Jimmy Olsen (in the yellow jacket) watches as we dream of being Norwegian speed demons on his fantastic track. |
Xenon Darrow: Let's come over and let's stroll down the path here
Tessa: Oh...we are walking again! Follow Xenon!
Predawn Cooper: Lawdy that wuz a long walk!
Thirza Ember: walking is my second favorite way to travel...
Thirza Ember: after not walking
Dings Digital: lol Thirza
Lavia Lavine: It kind of makes one want to have a snowball fight.
Xenon Darrow: never ride a horse in a thong
Tosha Tyran: but horse is warm at least
Pretty soon we arrived at another nice bit of public transport, the cable car.
Xenon Darrow: You can see Luna's cabin down there! and even lower down by the Lake...that is Lone's cabin... I think we can go to the cable car over here. I am going to fly up to the mountain club house and those who wish can tp to me!
Jimmy Olsen: 4 passengers at the time
Forest Azure: your horse can't come in this, Tosha!

Xenon Darrow: If it is raining here, it is raining in Tromso! if it is snizzling here, it is snizzling in rl Tromso!
Neo Cortex: Is that "snizzle" I see falling from the sky now?
Tessa: Whether you return to dance at Havna Disko, sip wine at the Goddess Retreat, or watch the lavender bloom again in spring, Norge will be here—growing, evolving, and welcoming you back with open arms.
Xenon Darrow: We are here for question / answer! And please explore all you like! There are bikes / ATVs/ and more!
Thirza Ember: the boat is really the main thing for us - we love danger
Xenon Darrow: Who has questions? Anyone?
Forest Azure: yes.. where is the boat?
Luna Lunaria: luvs the boat
Tosha Tyran: oh, I have a question, Xenon... Can I stay here in the water until I melt?
Xenon Darrow: Yes, you can. But we take no responsibilities for any wrinkles you get
Inevitably our tour came to an end long before we'd seen everything on the region - a good excuse to return. Typically of Jimmy, we all were able to get a free copy of the ship so we ca crash through mountains on our own time ... but none of us can do it with the style that Xenon always displays.
Xenon Darrow: The boat should be copy, just copy it
Neo Cortex: I feel like such a quick tour barely scratches the surface of what you have set up here
Forest Azure: just love rides! such a great tour, thank you!
Alex Salamander: Thanks for the nice tour through Norge
eva Nowicka: thanks for the tour Xenon, Contessa and Jimmy... congratulations for the sim :)
PrayiaDawn Cooper: enjoyed it
Xenon Darrow: We are so glad you all came! Remember, Norge is open 24/7 for your enjoyment and exploration. Thanks Jimmy, for sharing your artistic efforts and your generosity!
James Atlloud: Many thanks to Contessa, Xenon and Jimmy!! A wonderful tour.
Thirza Ember: next week is the Memorial for Mal, a party, some memories of Mal on Safari and in general, and a Wolem Wobbit live concert of blues music
