Symphony's Mech Lab

Arriving on mech Lab in OSGrid is like stepping into a movie, or a high-end game. We were guests, for the second destination of this week's trip, of Symphony Vive, and she met the 20 or so Safari visitors at the Landing Point which sported a nice Welcome poster... always good sign!
The big white spheres are the cars that take you to the HUB
Symphony Vive: Welcome HG Safari Explorers! 欢迎 HG Safari 探险家!It will take some time  for the Region to load  for you to see... we will  soon move to a landing  HUB when we've all  loaded. This  will begin our  tour.
We were already pretty enchanted/distracted by this little landing place island, it's intriguing! But there was loads to see, and not just the naked gentlemen... so as soon as we were medium-rezzed, it was time to move.
James atLLOUD: We are becoming decent.
Symphony Vive: feel free  to  take  the  car to the landing HUB
Thirza Ember: no naked car riding, please. Think of the seats.
Taarna Welles: I've a towel in my suit case
Symphony.Vive @hg.osgrid.org%3A80: The Blue Kiosk is for teleportation locally. 1.) click the kiosk when you've rezzed/loaded. 2.) select 1 HUB.   3.) touch the kiosk to teleport to the HG Safari tour.+
That's all there is to it!

Symphony Vive: Buried deep beneath a secure military base lies Mech Lab, a clandestine facility shrouded in government secrecy. Here, within the LEVEL 3 corridors of Mech Lab, scientists toil on a revolutionary project: Project Mech lab.  Their aim? To forge a symbiotic union between man and machine. By integrating advanced AI with specially-selected soldiers, they're creating cyborg pilots – minds perfectly attuned to the colossal war machines known as Mechs as they face the challenges of a autonomous world.  Above ground nature blends with progress seen all around as we Progress naturally Exploring on Safari this tantalizing new world Mech Lab.
Thirza Ember: Is Mech Lab something to do with the Battletech game? I read a bit about that, seemed like maybe it was the inspiration? Or is that wrong...
Taarna Welles: What about the game Starfield?
Symphony Vive: Mech  Lab does  have   battle  features...   similar  to  battle  tech. Mech Lab is  a  project  reflecting machine  and  human dance, the  idea of  Mech Lab  is  a cyborg mech  project...  let  me   show you  :) please  follow...
The Store
Symphony Vive: Here, Above ground the harsh reality of war gives way to a breathtaking sanctuary.  Cascading waterfalls tumble into crystal-clear pools, and lush, bio-engineered gardens flourish beneath the warm embrace of the sun.  Sunlight filters through the canopy, dappling a network of bio-engineered facilities that seamlessly blend with the natural world, providing citizen pilots with objects of  muse and  utility. Please feel  free  to  explore the  shops  near  us...  some  fun  surprises in  them.
James atLLOUD: Nice sky here.
Forest Azure: a cherry sky :)
Lifted Pixel: WHAT?! "DRINKING WARM WATER BEFORE BED... why did a voice tell me to drink warm water before bed?!!
Alan Scot: because its impossible for an eye to
Symphony Vive: right?  giggles... about the items in the store... some  objects  are  available  to  group Mech Lab...  most  are copy  and  buy  for  convenience.
Symphony is a prolific builder, and has made about 50 vehicles so far. this store offers many of them with different kinds of physics scripts to meet the needs of different sims. Forest picked up something, which may have been a weapon... it looked pretty lethal.
Forest bears arms in more ways than one
Symphony Vive: Beneath the  mech lab  store we  will see  what's  behind  the  "Mission"  of  Mech Lab... Cerberus operators aren't just muscle, though. Years spent navigating geopolitical hotspots have equipped them with exceptional tactical minds. They understand the delicate dance between human and machine unfolding within Level 3, and their loyalty extends not just to the project's success, but to the safety of the cyborg pilots themselves. They are the watchful eyes, the silent guardians who ensure that Project Mech labs' hope for humanity remains secure.
Symphony Vive: this  is all  we  have  for  lectures  today... from here  drones  are guided  and the  main  security  for   the  project  takes  place. CIC: (Combat Information Center) is responsible for integrating and analyzing data from various sources, including radar, sonar, cameras, electronic warfare systems, and other sensors, to provide a comprehensive picture of the battlefield.  TOC: (Tactical Operations Center) is a command post for military operations. It is a central location where specially trained officers or military personnel guide members of an active tactical element during a mission. We are  inside the  LEVEL 3 security TOC/CIC
Thirza Ember: we are all security level Tic/Toc here  (it's not very high)
Symphony Vive: tictoc  safe!  yep!  please  follow  me  through  the  vault  doors....
Symphony Vive: LEVEL 3...  This is the crucible, the forge where humanity and technology are welded together, where the future soldiers of Project Mech Lab are truly born.
To get an idea of the size of these beasts, that white speck in the center of the photo is James sitting on top of one of the robots.
Symphony Vive: Level 3 within Mech Lab hums with a different kind of energy. Gone are the sterile white walls and flickering fluorescent lights of the upper levels. Here, exposed rock and metallic accents create a utilitarian but oddly comforting atmosphere. Catwalks weave between gleaming Mech units, where the cyborg merging process reaches its final stages. In Pre-Flight Exam room Holographic displays flicker with vital signs and examination data, a symphony of data streams monitoring the delicate dance between human and machine.

Moving on we saw what puts the Lab into mech Labs. All these cool bits of kit, between the machines, the layout, and the static figures, not to mention some really wonderful textures.
Symphony Vive: In Pre-Flight Exam room Holographic displays flicker with vital signs and examination data, a symphony of data streams monitoring the delicate dance between human and machine. Training Mech stand sentinel, their sleek forms housing HUDs that balance information in the chaos of war.   Inside, the cyborg pilots push their bodies and minds to the limit.
Thirza Ember: someone gimme a hand... or a whole arm...
Symphony inspects the spare arms, as Cooper Swizzle looks on
Symphony Vive: parts.. lots  of   parts  giggles... This is the crucible, the forge where humanity and technology are welded together at Mech Lab. We have wearable  mechs  with  combat  features...  I  will release them  soon to our  community
We paused for a moment to drink it all in. As usual James' prowess at sitting on anything, and sometimes nothing, this week in a 'ring' avatar - we are accustomed to seeing lifted pixel dressed this way! - impressed the ladies not a little. Here he is on a drone, maybe? Looks comfy, in a metal springy way.
Symphony Vive: The  idea  of  lvl3  mech lab  is  the  advanced  bio  mech cyborgs training  to   keep  peace  and  balance  in the  automated  world
Neo Cortex studies the details
Nara Nook: This build is so detailed you could wander for hours
Star Ravenhurst: It is an amazing build!
Symphony Vive: not  all is  copy  yet...  it  will be in the  future.
Thirza Ember: Symphony, what inspires you to build in opensim? ...what's your biggest inspiration?
Symphony Vive: I really   enjoy  the  AI  and  mech  idea, Exmachina and Real Steel  were  2  of  my  favorite
Thirza Ember: if you can build a warrior who is also good at cleaning floors, that would be a really great innovation
Symphony Vive: exactly!   :) and  nice mesh  body  helps  too
Roffellos Kisses: a security patrol with hoover attachment would help
Taarna Welles: Symphony Vive, which software software did you use for creating the robots for example?
Symphony Vive: I've  used  blender  mostly  and  some  was in Maya. : blender  I  find  is  popular  and  no  cost  for  basic  use.  and...   Tons  of  features!   its  really   good  tbh
Taarna Welles: And did you use substance painter for the texturing?
Symphony Vive: substance  for  some...  some  were   just optimized and uploaded  from  blender
Taarna Welles: Nice :)
We moved on to a completely different-looking part of the build...
Symphony Vive: This is not Mech Lab Level 3s cold, utilitarian facade; this is the Ode to 'YAY' Park
Angelic Kisses: it's very lovely
Symphony Vive: Ode to Park, a haven where cyborg warriors find a space for serenity even as they hone their skills. In this haven, the brutal gauntlet of training unfolds against a backdrop of natural progression, a constant reminder of the humanity they fight to preserve. The fate of humanity, some whisper, may hinge on their success, and the Ode to YAY Park serves as a testament to the delicate balance between man and machine... dating back as far as the year 2003 when the first "~*~*~Yay!~*~*~" echoed through the metaverse.
Symphony in the park
Neo Cortex: Do you have any estimates about the hours you put in this whole build?
Symphony Vive: great  question....    yes,  this  project  has been  several hours,  with parts  from other  builds  I've  done  before.   this  region  maybe  10 hours?
Thirza Ember: I love that you were here to tell us the backstory, I have come here many times before but I really didn't get that there is such a deep theme happening here, this is why it's so great to meet the creator when you visit a sim
James atLLOUD: Same for me Thirza. Don't know how I got here before, but I recognize many things.
Star Ravenhurst: So true. I have been here before too and so learning all this is great.
Petlove Petshop: yes!  so much amazingness here
Symphony Vive: thank you yes.  the  idea of  what a  future  may  look like  as some  prepare for  machine  man connections. If  you will indulge  one  more  Teleport  we  will  conclude  the  tour  and  you are  free  to   explore  any area  of  the  sim
Symphony Vive: Suspended on a jagged crown of rocks, a sculpture titled "Effects of the Wind" reaches skyward. Its wooden surface, meticulously crafted to resemble the weathered contours of a wind-battered coastline, the structure hums with a low, resonant tone as the ocean breeze whistles through its intricate channels. An Egg hunt is in place, giving different Mech Models in each of the 4 eggs.  Egg Hunt clues are available at the effects of the wind robot  drone. This refreshing spot concludes our Tour...   Thank you for visiting, exploring, and  experiencing Mech Lab with us.
Yara Eild: It was very interesting to see this
Angelic Kisses: this is a spectacular sim, Symphony
Alexey Kazarovic: Thank you Symphony, very big work.
Francisco Koolhoven: thank you for the tour Symphony!
Star Ravenhurst: Thank you again for such a fascinating visit.  See everyone next week!
Francisco Koolhoven: see you on the next adventure
