The Safari's first ever visit to GermanWorldGrid was ever so lovely... we had the opportunity to tour sim Everlove, in company with Emma Florido, who together with her lovely husband Mick owns this gorgeous place. Many grid residents came along to join us, and it was really lovely not only to see beautiful pixels but also to glimpse the great atmosphere of friendship and fun that this grid clearly represents.

Emma Florido: im proud today to have you all here and i thank everyone for coming. I want to let you know a little bit of the history from germanworldgrid
Emma Florido: Germanworldgrid was founded by my husband Mick Florido in April 2019 because virtual life has always been one of his big hobbies and he wanted to offer residents from different countries a home. Over the years he gained a lot of experience and met many interesting people.

Emma Florido: Many regions were designed and clubs formed. In 2021, due to the pandemic, my husband decided to provide free 5,000 Prim regions to our residents so that people who had less income could also have the opportunity to get to know Opensim.

Emma Florido: Me and my husband Mick Florido, whom I have known in real life for more than 15 years, have decided to bring the Grid up to date in terms of construction technology. I have been in the GWG since August 2023 and many beautiful regions have been added since then. We also have an amazing club right in the heart of GWG where my wonderful husband Mick invites to his dance night every Monday, and our great Dj Drangur invites to his big party on Tuesdays.
Emma Florido: For me to enter Opensim was simply the right decision, I love to create virtual places, but most of all try to bring a smile in people's faces who enter the sims. That is something what I love, and I'm lucky that I can experience this kind of travel together with my husband Mick who is a great Builder and DJ as well.

Emma Florido: Here in Everlove we have three sims that are connected to the main sim, a shopping mall that is still under construction, but new things are constantly being added. Everlove also has a meeting point where we occasionally meet with our residents from the GWG and exchange ideas or simply relax in a good mood with our deejays.

Perfect woodland paths wind through dramatic rocks and sudden seascapes, and in this paradise, buildings stand out here and there, each one with its own purpose, like this one.

Emma Florido: i have visions... they just come when i start work, when i start a sim then i get the ideas while i work

Tosha Tyran: where do you get your beautiful textures from?
Emma Florido: i get them from different sites or make them by my self in photoshop... most time i need to make them seamless, because without seamless is for me not useful

Emma Florido: yes and 3D textures... i have many good sites where u can get some for free but also i buy them by shop etzy

Emma Florido: yes i entered GWG in august 2023, and started rebuild a lot here, rebuilding the club and made a live area, and other great sims arround the grid, you know its my pssion but also work rl so it goes a bit slow.
Thirza Ember: what is the most difficult part for you, Emma when you build - is it the overall design, or the details?
Emma Florido: honestly ...... i cant say it because I never knew the end result of the build

Emma Florido: but most what makes me struggle is sometimes time... I would need more time
Tosha Tyran: oh, I think that is normal - but you sure have magic hands, Emma, it is outstanding what you build here

DeleteThis was another enjoyable visit and I really do prefer the walking tours when on safari. When the group goes their separate ways I feel I'm missing many interesting conversations! Thank you Emma and Thirza.
