Biker Bad

Sons of Anarchy (often referred to just as 'SoA') portrays biker gangs in California - specifically the fictional NorCal city of Charming. The show garnered respect and a loyal following for both its gritty drama and its equally gritty soundtrack. Running from 2008-2014 on american TV, it's the story of a chaotic combination of family ties, dodgy deals, rundown roadhouses, violence and vendetta... not to mention, the Harleys.

CCI grid is the home of SoA Bad and the beautiful Siwas. They are both talented builders; the Safari has visited two Scandinavian builds here in the past. First, Siwas' charming recreation of the city landmarks of Tromsø, and then the exquisite and immensely detailed Viking village on their region Lofoten. Bad is such a fan of Sons of Anarchy, it's right there in his name. And here we are on their Sons of Anarchy inspired sim, Bikerworld. Full HG Address at the end of the post, as always.
The arrival point on Bikerworld is a parking lot (Of course!!) with a bit of a clubhouse too. It's immediately adjacent to the start of the track, and it's here that you join the local group (don't worry there are no initiation rituals for this gang) that will allow you to rez your bike.
Nara inspects the hogs
Thirza Ember: there are about 12 of us, Siwas
SIWAS S [de→en]: Well, 6 bikes with 2 people, that's great
Tosha Tyran: you mean we have to get on those dangerous looking machines? omg
SoA BAD [de→en]: Everyone is welcome to SoA Bikerworld
SIWAS S [de→en]: Welcome to a great adventure
Kelso Uxlay: Wunderbar
Tina Bey hola
Lavia Lavine: If we have to drive a motorcycle, you're all doomed because I can't drive worth a hoot
Forest Azure: /me inspects tosha's leathers
Angelic Kisses: neither can I Lavia...lol
SoA BAD [de→en]: Very briefly please, I have to explain a little about Bikerworld. This is not a normal Sim, there are a total of 14 Sims in 10 cubes, mostly built in height, and each Sim is a themed world.
...with max dd, you still only see just a part of this huge build
SoA BAD [de→en]: All Sims are connected to each other and can be driven continuously. They are also designed to be driven through by motorcycle. Unfortunately, this is not possible today because it takes an experienced driver about 1 hour and inexperienced drivers also spend 2 hours on the road.
SoA BAD [de→en]:  We will visit some themed worlds later. First about the bikes and the clothing.
SIWAS S [de→en]: It's best to have 2 people on one bike
SoA BAD [de→en]: There are motorcycles here, please only buy or copy them so that the bike is yours. To rez the bikes, you need to join the group.
Angelic Kisses: thank you
Forest Azure: /me is not very biker fashionable today
SIWAS S [de→en]: There is an outfit on the left
Ange Menges: Bonsoir à tous
Elamanu Pastorelli: Hi all
Pauline NOVA419: Who wants a passenger? I'm having lunch so I won't be able to drive.
Lavia Lavine: Get your motor runnin', set out on the highway, looking for adventure in whatever comes our way
Roffellos Kisses: sure you want to be on the back of this lol
Angelic Kisses: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!! GO BABY!!
SoA BAD [de→en]: Anyone who wants to drive can drive, others can hop through the sims with me. Join the Group, Buy or copy the bikes
SIWAS S [de→en]: Rez, and sit
Forest Azure: i bought one, but i can't rezz it
Pauline NOVA419: Hop on my bike. It's drivable by everyone
This build brings the off-white concrete highways and the wide open skies of the West to a new level. Wait, no - many, many levels, all coexisting. This is the ride of your life - as you go from one environment to another. Lush jungle gives way to cityscapes...
...and mountains
... not to mention some unusual wildlife...
... and even some very lifelike looking swampy conditions.
There's even an ice level, if you go on long enough. We only had an hour, so we all kind of knew from the start that we'd never make it right to the top.
Siwas and Bad are obviously expert at all this and fun to watch as they master all the curves
and the build has a constant upward gradient taking you to the other environments. Unlike a video game, where you only experience one level at a time, you can cam through and see all the levels any time you like, and even go walking about in it.

So you can go get a Big Mac  while watching friends zoom around... and occasionally off the sim...
looking down from above at these roads, you get a feeling for the dimensions of the place. It didn't stop a lot of us from going off piste, however. But that is part of the fun. Learning to control the bike, handling the different conditions, just enjoying the sense of being there... this is a joy to behold and to play in. By the way, turns out there were way more than 12 of us and a great many more than 6 bikes. But the grid took the hit with equanimity.
Thirza Ember: i love all the different environments, is this the longest race track in opensim???
Angelic Kisses: ⁂•:._.:•⁂ⓄⓂⒼ⁂•:._.:•⁂ Baby, you're going so fast!!!
Ange Menges: Dinos are a little suprizing...
SoA BAD [de→en]: Don't forget to refuel
Angelic Kisses: woooooooww was that a bear?
Dabici Straulino: really fun
Tina Bey[es→en]: wow! That was fun
Angelic Kisses: THIS place is AMAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG
Tina Bey[es→en]: I lost the motorcycle due to a precipice, sorry hehehehe
Unadecal Masala: hop on thirza :)
Thirza Ember: ok Una.... drive carefully.... this isn't going to end well
Lavia Lavine: Lots of dinosaurs!! This s pretty fun!
James Atlloud: shouts: James found his dance pole
Thirza Ember: Lavia, you look Born to Ride
Lavia enjoying a motor through Monument Valley
Thirza Ember: great mix of architecture too ...hahaha, just drivin' past the titty twister....
James Atlloud: Oh, did you catch my performance?
Thirza Ember: i tried to cam to you but i missed it hehe
James Atlloud: Titty Twister has a pole (2 actually) and I just gotta dance.
Refuelling is an essential part of the game, and the pitstops are very pleasant
SoA BAD [de→en]: Now things are getting quieter here again
James Atlloud: Do we meet up at top?
Thirza Ember: I think so!
Even the rivers are fun to ride in
Thirza Ember: we were in the river for a moment there and I'm not even driving! I'm just bad luck
Tosha Tyran: this is really fantastic
Tosha offroading
Tina Bey lol
Lavia Lavine: I don't know how much further to the finish
Tosha Tyran: I just go until somebody shows me the red flag :D
Tina Bey[es→en]: ends in the snow... I ran out of gas
Mal hanging out at the gas station

Mal Burns: lost my bike, but there is masses here - hard to cam all
Forest Azure: me too, it is in a tree
Pauline NOVA419: You will thank your fat butt after riding for an hour.
Thirza Ember: ok we only have 10 more minutes, guys
Star Ravenhurst: That was fun
Lavia Lavine: is it over?
Tosha Tyran: NO WAY
Mal.Burns: where did time go? feels like only been 20 mins
Unadecal Masala: ah ok... tell them I'm not coming lol
If you were wondering where they get the gas for all these bikes...
Star Ravenhurst: I got stuck in a spot, I couldn't move, so I jumped off and took up the bike
Lavia Lavine: oh...wanna ride?
Star Ravenhurst: Don't kill us
Lavia Lavine: ::groans::
James Atlloud: heh heh run over again
Forest Azure: i'm in a lost world
snowbody Cortes: ops... ahahah... exploring new paths... I love it
Angelic Kisses: that was an incredible ride!
Forest Azure: bb, thanks again!
Tosha Tyran: to all the builders, keepers and feeders (dinos) of this fantastic sim: THANK YOU FOR THE FUN
Unadecal Masala: This is now my favourite sim to play
Elamanu Pastorelli: yes, it has... great

  3. It seems like everyone had a great time. I heard that regulars on the grid need hours to become expert on the motorcycles and I believe that. It's brilliant to make a long ride by going up in the air!
