Imagine - a Safari Finale

Medora Chevalier: if anyone cannot listen in voice in English please let me know - I will post the key points in chat
Thirza Ember: yes please, post key points in chat, Medora
Alazi Sautereau: it is so exciting to see all the different Virtual Worlds
Medora Chevalier: Alazi is welcoming you, sim is built by zimp. The Imaginals have been performing for 10 years, we welcome our virtual wanderers, we are going on a walking tour with many stories, stay to see our performance space at the end, and join a couple of dances, enable voice, set environment to midday, set draw distance to the highest you can manage, and LOD to 3 or more, and candles show the path.
James Atlloud: Can I ride this candle throughout the tour?
At first, it seemed as if the sim was based on real people, but gradually it became evident that the history being recounted was a fiction, like a sort of RP plot.
Aphra.Hendrix: Hello ! Happy to see you all, i was busy and did not see the time
Forest Azure: /me waves
Alazi Sautereau: We are in Voice, Welcome to those just arriving
Thirza Ember: hi those who finally made it
Medora Chevalier: - Ancient stone circle on Brood Mare Hill - Dates back to Neolithic times - First excavated by Sir Alfred Higginbottom with the help of local fishermen - Found a ritual burial of a family with gold jewellery & their horses with gold harness pendants  - Traditionally  always keep horses here - Celebrate the turning of the seasons with the equinoxes and solstices.

Medora shared one of her poems with this, in the magic circle, as she did in several other places. The poems are quite long, so in each case, only the first few lines are quoted, so you get the gist of it.
Medora Chevalier: "Bare feet treading on cool grasses,  Step by step and hand in hand.  High above the full moon passes,  Carries wish from land to land.    Up ahead the dark stones tower,  While  generations come and go.  Each soul builds and binds the power,  For the crucial time they know..."
 James Atlloud: lovely, thank you

We alking now, to Dragon's Cave
Alazi Sautereau: Follow the Red Hat, Zimp and the candles!
I can't lie, I was really tired of traipsing, after the 10 mile hike around the ship, so I just TP'd where the people were. Turned out to be an intriguing cave! We all gathered around to hear this part of the fiction.
Medora Chevalier: - As you can see, the name Dragons' Cave is a misnomer. as we stand in an empty cave  - Legend has it that the power of the stone circle above arises through the rocks from dragon energies in the cave below - Sir Alfred's wife, Lady Clementina, on hearing the legend, insisted on visiting the cave alone - She was found fainted in the cave and swore she had seen a dragon - Sir Alfred described it as a" typical hysterical woman's fit of the vapors"  - He said "Let's leave dragons to the imaginings of children"
Tosha Tyran: what a wonderful story...
Alan Scot: watch out for the invisible dragons
James Atlloud: i see dragonz!
Francisco Koolhoven: oooh dragons!
Tina Bey: ooooh
Forest Azure: /me hides behind tosha
Luna Lunaria: We LUVS dragons
Medora Chevalier: - The Isles have been the home of many mystics  We can see a ruined chapel in the waters of the lake  - High on the hill we will see a ruined abbey. It is said that those who sleep in the Little Tower experience extraordinary dreams  - The dragon ancient energies are transformed through dream into powerful visions

Medora read another poem, just a taste of it here.
Medora Chevalier: I am the Voice of Unborn Futures,  I am the Voice of Wiser Pasts,   I am the Wind stirring the Waters,  I am the Shadows the Sun casts.   I am the Glinting on Ocean ripples,  I am the Voices in Deep Seas,  I am the Fish that darts and shimmers,  In forests that the sea kelp weaves..."
Lyr Lobo: Lovely
Tosha Tyran: so beautiful
Medora Chevalier: please follow zimp and the candles
Medora Chevalier: "The Mill of Dreams" Madame Katrine Dereves took over the WaterMill on the death of her husband in war. She had always known that the waters were special - From when the black swans had arrived and 3 of them had lived together in harmony - When she lost her husband she walked across the isles many times - Tired she had fallen asleep in the Little Tower- True to its title the Little Tower of Dreams had given her creative vision - She found that the WaterMill could mill dreams into existence. - Visitors come to picnic & take home a jar of freshly milled dreams
Tosha Tyran: a jar of milled dreams ... that is wonderful
Alan.Scot: my favorite is icedreams
Medora Chevalier: I hope you take some beautiful dreams home with you. we will walk to the northern cliffs and then the villa
Medora Chevalier: welcome to the villa
Luna Lunaria: Lovely architecture
Alan Scot: soothing music
Medora Chevalier: its a pretty place where we spend a lot of time relaxing
Alazi Sautereau: we do spend a lot of time here
Francisco Koolhoven: breathtaking
James Atlloud: wonderful music cues!
Medora Chevalier: - The Villa is guesthouse for the artists & musicians who visit the chateau - They prepare for an evening of music, dance or poetry by breakfasting late on the terrace  - The more adventurous will climb up to the ruined abbey - They hope their hostess is right to say her lions are completely tame - Some will explore the tunnels from the beach, surprised to find cool drinks
Alazi Sautereau: cool drinks with spirits..
Luna Lunaria: must have spirits
Medora Chevalier: on to the fisherman's cottage. The fisherman, Jean Baptiste and his sons, fish the placid seas of the isles & are avid gardeners. Sometimes they host the painters and writers who visit the isles  - Their collection of books include many inspired by the sea views. He is the second husband of the miller, Katrine - Katrine refuses to sleep in the cottage  - She says that the sea lapping the cliffs brings her the sound of the church bells under the water - The bells of the lost city of Ys. This music is Ys by the Breton musician Alan Stivell - about the lost city
Luna Lunaria: Humbletim!
Thirza Ember: nice to see so many familiar faces on this final safari of the season!
Forest Azure: oh! this the last one?
Luna Lunaria: I didn't want to miss the last one
Medora Chevalier: - Countess Abrielle Guilane entertains in her chateau during spring and summer  - She is a keen amateur gardener, developing new plant hybrids in her conservatory - She happily gave refuge to Sir Alfred & Lady Clementine after a terrifying storm hit their sailing voyage - Abrielle & Clementine enjoyed many hours of reading & conversation - While Sir Alfred enjoyed a peaceful glass of wine on the lawn - An artists' salon sprang up as the Countess hosts painters, composers and poets  - Her evening salons entice many to sail their little boats to the isles.
Thirza Ember: is James sitting on a candle?
Tosha Tyran: yepp
Medora Chevalier: its a new form of pogo stick
James Atlloud: keepin' nice n' toasty up here
Medora Chevalier: The Creative Dance Foundation exists with thanks to the generosity of heiress Peggy Guggenheim whose continuing support  helps to  this Foundation to nurture  new creative dance talent and performance. - Once  a celebrated dancer herself she was inspired by the beautiful Isadora Duncan, whose  dancing is distinguished by Complete Freedom, helping to free ballet from its conservative restrictions. Isadora is a  revolutionary woman of the time.  a free spirited Bohemian , dancing for High Society throughout American and Europe.  It is that Society which often visits the Foundation and enjoys the delights of the whole Region with gayous partying into the small hours. - Isadora's remaining dance group -the Isadorables - spend their summers relaxing here and are performing their free dance expression got ud to the music of Narcissus and Mother.

  1. This had to be the most carefully planned visit I can remember. The folks at Imagine made this work so well. At first I'd though the music was coincidence until Philip Glass and then it became clear even the soundtrack was designed. I completely enjoyed this and it was great to see the rotating stage again! Thank you Thirza and Imaginals team!
