Safari Goes to the Lounge

First up this week with its crazy out-of-kilter start time (come the revolution, we will all go with Solar time and forget the stupid twice-annual clock change) the Safari tourists headed out to Craft Grid to a set of sims owned by Art Blue and Juliette Surrealdreaming. If you're an old old friend of the Safari, you will remember many trips to visit Art, back in the days when Safari departed weekly from Francogrid. Good times. Art really blew our minds with some spectacular pieces, on Metro and elsewhere, occasionally showing us stuff imported from SL - once, he even convinced Bryn Oh to join us. In recent years, he has made his home on Craft. This week, we began our trip on sim Oracle Lounge, full HG address as always at the end of the post.

The Nine Goddesses build on Craft

This build starts on sim Oracle Lounge and consists of ten waypoints along a meandering path through landscape (and at one point under water) to the final spot where gifts and explanatory brochures await. The build and peripheral materials are a joint effort by both our hosts, although Art is always quick to remind everyone that Juliette (in RL Kisma Reidling) is the artist, not he.

Arriving a the 9 Goddesses

Juliette Surrealdreaming: Welcome to the 9 Goddess Adventure HG Safari tour! Thank you for coming today. I will help you navigate today's 50 minute tour of my 3 regions. We will spend 10 minutes on each. I will send out a notice and tp anyone not at the next start point.

Art Blue: Hello HG Safari happy that you are here. At the end of the walk through the installation you will find gifts. One is a booklet that I created. You get it as prim book, a PDF and as a website. Thank you Thirza for bringing the group here. Now Kisma has the word.

Juliette Surrealdreaming

Juliette Surrealdreaming: Please turn off the music and turn up the media. Each Goddess has a message. Click her sign to read it  Each Goddess original music. Click the black box which is a media on prim. Let's begin by crossing to Region 1... just over that line!  Just up ahead is our first stop: Weaver Goddess.

In our virtual worlds, I always feel that lovers of classical and fantastical mythology have missed a beat by not setting up altars to the God Elastos, Lord of the rubber-banding and lag in general. We were, instead, due to seek out shrines that expressed in tableau form the essential nature of each deity. But our first focus was to hurry after Juliette. Being a good guide is one of the hardest tasks for a Safari host; most builders are so familiar with their own creation that it's hard for them to stop and think that everything is new to us. Luckily we have good calf muscles and are used to running.

 Torch Bearer

Rather than having a VAR region and setting up a different EEP for each parcel, Art and Juliette have opted for three separate regions with different windlight settings. Walking across sim lines when there are a lot of people is a challenge, but camming and teleports can fix that. If you're here alone, you will find the path to be taken very clearly marked out by stepping stones that change according to which of the three regions you're on.

After the fire, we plunged into the Opensim Ocean and were soon surrounded by a kelp-adjacent Goddess.

Forest Azure: /me wonders what James is studying

Thirza Ember: James in RL is a lingerie salesman, he thinks he found a customer

 Forest Azure: lol really?

James Atlloud: ha ha ha - where's there's a need

Tosha Tyran: wow... stark naked OO

Taarna Welles: That's me when I was young 😀

Forest Azure: i don't hear messages though

Tosha Tyran: neither do I Forest

Thirza Ember: maybe the snakes are talking for her

Taarna Welles: sissltongue

James Atlloud: I hear the audio when I click a second time on the box being held by the welcome statue

Juliette Surrealdreaming: Next is 5. Keeper of the Hidden Seed, my favorite

Cherry Manga: nice view through the window

Tosha Tyran: phew... a shack full of babies :)

James Atlloud: Reminds me of the Anne Geddes books

Thirza Ember: if possible can we wait here a moment? otherwise all my photos of the group have blurred unrezzed textures

Despite much clicking on the scripted objects that give out notecards and start media, not everyone could hear and read, a common problem with a big group - and part of the objective experience of the tour group. Some blame Linux, some drivers, some Firestorm, some bad juju, but whatever it was, the build is worth revisiting if you missed out on the multimedia bits. And with a flash of genius, Juliette demonstrated the sound confirming it's worth the effort to come back and try again.

Juliette Surrealdreaming: here it is through my speaker. sorry if it is bad. The film on Friday has it all.

Juliette Surrealdreaming: in honor of mama earth

James Atlloud: I think I'm in The Shire.

Taarna Welles: I see a hobbit James

Juliette Surrealdreaming: Bone Mother

Cherry Manga: my favorite so far Juliettte

Sven Ingersoll: reminds me of pol pot's regime

Forest Azure: well, this is naked to the max

Koshari Mahana: I love the bone mother, great job with her.

Cherry Manga: lol Forest!

Juliette Surrealdreaming: each region is an intention or focus of the life cycle

James Atlloud: The bones crunch under my feet.  oh, wait.

Juliette Surrealdreaming: they doooo James :)

Dream Weaver by Cherry Manga

Juliette Surrealdreaming: Cherry Manga, I want to say that your incredible creation made this next goddess come to life. So this goddess is dedicated to Cherry! This is Cherry's creation in which I sat my Dream Weaver it was perfect for her!

Cherry Manga: that's a sweet tribute Juliette thx so much ♥

Juliette Surrealdreaming: we have one more goddess to go

James Atlloud: shouts: we go up to the castle then

Cherry Manga: lovely castle

Thirza Ember: it looks like it might be made of grape jello

Spax Orion: owch, THE Goddess BIT ME!

Juliette Surrealdreaming: ok so down we go to the circle and there are 7 gifts there, the three stepping stones are gifts, the central elf and crystals are gifts, and Art is standing by the book, which is also a gift and if you click the closing message sign it gives you a notecard with all the goddess messages on it. The last thing I wish to share is an invitation this Friday the 30th for the youtube premiere of the 9 Goddess Adventure film... it's live of course, so meaning live chat and I'm there...

Tosha Tyran: this place is really very beautiful. It is enchanting!

Francisco Koolhoven: This was beautifully done

Lysondra June: Yes.  Thank you everyone !!!  Just wonderful.

Cherry Manga: Thanks Juliette, what a trip!!

Juliette Surrealdreaming: I'm so happy you all came

Nara Nook: Because nine is three trinities

Forest Azure: then my next question.. why 3 trinities

Nara Nook: cuz it is three times power of male trinity?

James Atlloud: three 9's are 27 and 2 +7 add up to ... 9!

Juliette Surrealdreaming: 9 is the sacred number of Irish mysticism, Juliette Surrealdreaming: it's the 9th Wave, which is well more of an explanation than you might all want to know lol

Art Blue: this link is via a QRcode in the book Art Blue: the book is reflecting our time of upcoming AI... that is video link for October 30  and don't forget to take a copy of the booklet
