Fitheach Eun and Tessa Lacombe were on Wyldwood Bayou Grid to welcome us for the second stop of our Safari this week. Wyldwood is well known for its Rockin' the Blues events, its roleplay groups, and its lovely New Orleans build, a popular stop off during carnival season in particular. Today though we were heading for another sim entirely, Wyld Thangs, a region of rides and relaxation.

Fitheach Eun: Welcome to Wyldwood Bayou’s Wyld Thangs Ride Park. Kith Whitehawk, Contessa Lacombe, Harmony Beningborough and I (Fitheach Eun) built this region as a play-ground for the Wyldwood Bayou Grid. It has always been open to Hypergridders looking for fun. We have an awesome and scary motocross, a skate park with an obstacle course, a beach area, an outdoor cinema and some really beautiful scenery along with 2 music venues where we occasionally offer events.

Fitheach Eun: It’s a great region to tour on horseback, 4-wheeler, or motorcycle. You can bring your own vehicles and rez them in the designated areas. We will take you on a brief tour and then you can choose where you want to play. We also have freebie shops at the Water Park, Skate Park and Vehicle Barn. There is even a Food Court next to the Skate Park. The sign in front of the barn has folders of information on how to fix a number of common Opensim issues. We spent a lot of time re-searching and testing to create those for our music club audiences. Please grab any that interest you.

Fitheach Eun: Hmmm well most of us script some. I do, Durham our tech guy does, Kith does a bit too, And Tessa does some as well

Fitheach Eun: This is the Vehicle Barn & Stable: There are dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, hoverboards and motorcycles here. Grab a free copy from the posters (you can choose your color). You can rez your own or one of our vehicles in the rez area near the barn or at the start of the motocross track. A Horse Rezzer is in front of the stable. Ride across country and enjoy the scenery or take the outside Loop Road.

Fitheach Eun: Let's tp to the Skate Park Free skateboards and skates at the Skate Park Shop. Skate the rink or try the obstacle track. Hit the food court for some munchies or a drink. We have music events here occasionally. The fire jump is fun

Contessa Lacombe: This is the water park and beach area. We also have a music venue at the beach where Kith Whitehawk sometimes spins. Oh, there is a little shop here where you can pick up a bathing suit if you need one. And dressing huts! 
The pool is not a bad place for skateboarding too - even underwater! - but surely the cutest part are the inflatables, the flamingos with their turning heads are adorable but there's something for everyone here.

Contessa Lacombe: This is the Motocross Course. Grab a dirt bike from the posters, rez it in the paddock rez zone and tackle the amazing motocross track (don't fall off a cliff). It’s a long course but there are directional signs throughout the course. Now, Kith built the Motocross Course. And I think his goal may have been to have us crash! LOL
Fitheach Eun: I'm sure it was ... I'd really like to see the Tron Bike on the motocross...

Contessa Lacombe: Ummmm. We sort of planned it.... But., well, things do evolve.
Fitheach Eun: Well we knew we wanted the motocross and the skate park and then the rest just kind of happened. And then we needed some place for all the vehicles...
Contessa Lacombe: lol. They told me to build a highway. And it kept growing. :)
Fitheach Eun: And we decided to have movies some times so it just kept growing

Did someone say rezzing area? Lots of builders and asset-rich avies in our group. Within minutes, out came even more outrageous vehicles of every kind including that infamous coach from our recent tour in Iceland... I think the All Caps name probably is your first warning this is an over-the-top ride.

Contessa's offer of a nice cruise seemed the ideal solution to save our skins and escape the bus. Bit this may have been a foolish move... again, the clue is in the name...
