Felix Mafia is an Italian architect whose grid, Arkham, is almost four years old. Best known for the freebies, there's a lot more going on here, in terms of backstory and design, snd Safari wanted to know a bit more about that side of this popular destination.
There are quite a few seasonal regions on Arkham that provide explorers and freebie hunters alike the brief opportunity to visit, and we were invited to see Easter Land, in its 2026 iteration.

| Felix Mafia with good friends Grid Admin and Andron Rae were at the arrival point to welcome us all. |
Felix Mafia: thanks for being here
Andron Rae: this is a fun region with a lot of hidden areas to explore
Felix Mafia [it→en]: Grid Admin is creator of the Arkham, he is English.
Grid Admin: I'll just hang out back here, out of the way
Andron Rae: hugs Cherry nice to see you! sorry if I am standing on anyone, I'm not fully rezzed and see clouds haha
Felix Mafia: welcome eva
eva Nowicka: hey Felix, nice to see you
Thirza Ember: we are not a gigantic group this week which is good for lag and for conversation... it's 'Shark city' make sure you see the shark while you are here, he is quite spectacular!
Cherry Manga: love the aesthetic of the region, yes
James Atlloud: the broken highway overpass reminds me of Fallout games
Cherry Manga: yes but nature is alive
Grid Admin: it is a bit apocalyptic... giant sharks have that effect
James Atlloud: I SAW THAT - oooh
Andron Rae: there are so many fantastic regions here, great attention to architectural and historical details it's amazing
Tina Bey: I love this aesthetic too, it's very well done!!
eva Nowicka: LOL Sharknado?????
Andron Rae: the floaty fish in bubbles near the shark are so cool
Yara Eilde: Hello :-)
eva Nowicka: oh, es como calimero :D
Thirza Ember: this is a region about rebirth, I think, and optimism Nothing says optimism like a chick! although this broken road is a little worrying...
Felix Mafia: please admin whenever you want if you can start introducing Shark city, your English is better than mine
Grid Admin: ok... this region began as a dream: a small magical fantasy island, surrounded by wild nature, towering rocks, flowing waterfalls, and endless shades of green.
Grid Admin: At the heart of the island lived a peaceful fishing community. The villagers cultivated their gardens, fished the surrounding waters, and built tall multi-level homes overlooking the sea. It was a harmonious place where nature and daily life were deeply connected — simple, authentic, and full of quiet magic. But one day, everything changed. A gigantic shark emerged from the depths of the ocean and violently destroyed the small town. Houses were reduced to rubble, dreams were shattered, and even nature itself seemed to fade away. What once was vibrant and alive became ruins and silence. The island was on the verge of disappearing.
James Atlloud: oh no!
Grid Admin: Then, something extraordinary happened. Among the broken stones and fallen wood, a few small flowers began to bloom. Day after day, more blossoms appeared. Green life slowly reclaimed the land. Vegetation grew stronger, brighter, more magical than before. From this rebirth, the first elves appeared — delicate and luminous — followed by magical butterflies and enchanted animals with mystical forms. Soon, fantastic rabbits arrived, carrying colorful spring eggs covered in flowers and light. With them came the spirit of renewal and celebration. From the ashes of destruction, a new world was born. Shark City transformed into Easter Land.
Grid Admin: Today, Easter Land is a realm of blooming meadows, radiant flowers, glowing lights, and pure magic. It is a celebration of rebirth, hope, and transformation — a grand Easter festival where fantasy and nature live together in harmony.
Felix Mafia: This is my creation in Arkham Grid: A story of destruction and rebirth. A land where magic always finds a way to return.
James Atlloud: Rabbits. wow
Thirza Ember: in today's world that is a very opportune story
Felix Mafia: each of my creations has a sense and a meaning that is beyond the virtual
Tina Bey pulled out a translator orb and we all plugged into it. They really make life easier for an international audience and are remarkably crowd friendly.
Alex Salamander[de→en]: very good :-)
eva Nowicka[es→en]: but it doesn't translate what the chick says :/
James Atlloud: awww The chicks thank the rabbits.
Angelic Kisses2: lol
Thirza Ember: chicken talk is universal
Grid Admin: peep peep
Andron Rae: for baby chicks, talk is CHEAP :P
Felix Mafia: I took care of a lot of details, sometimes we are superficial and we don't observe the nature that surrounds us... lots of eggs
Thirza Ember: wow lots of chocolate! is this the first year that Shark City is open to the public? Do you build a new Easter-themed region every year?
Felix Mafia [it→en]: March, April, I update it every year I like to do this and change regions often and improve, lol in rl my wife will kill me if I tear down the walls of the house
Thirza Ember: typically, how long do these themed regions remain open? Just for a week or two?
Felix Mafia: I like to assemble and disassemble and reassemble I can't do it in rl, here I found my happiness
Taarna Welles: It's really nice. So much detail. Superb!
Angelic Kisses: it really is a beautiful place
Felix Mafia: This explains why we love the virtual world
Thirza Ember: it certainly makes a lot less mess if you demolish only virtually
James Atlloud: yes
Tina Bey: yes
Felix Mafia: In rl I can only create constructions for my work, here I can modify every day
Andron Rae: this place is a photographer's dream
Thirza Ember: I think we should thank that shark for inspiring such a beautiful easter build
Tina Bey: Yes, we are grateful to the shark!
Thirza Ember: Felix, apart from Easter, what are the main seasons of the year that you build regions to celebrate? Christmas, and....?
Grid Admin: He has Carnival, Halloween, and just some he felt like doing, for example, Snowfall Expanse is a winter region and Wet Heart, a seaside village. There are many themes
Felix Mafia: anyway I love my grid and I thank Admin who made this platform resistant for my happiness
Grid Admin: Banham - Cyberpunk futuristic Egyptian ruins
Andron Rae: i love that one, cyber and egypt mix well
Grid Admin: indeed they do, Hikonai is a dystopian cyberpunk metropolis
Tina Bey: There's so much to see,...
Thirza Ember: many people just assume that arkham is simply a freebie mall region, but clearly that's not the whole story
Grid Admin: not at all the whole story! Huang is a fantasy region inspired by the timeless beauty of Japan — a place where tradition and neon light coexist in perfect harmony.
Felix Mafia: for now there 30 regions... this is our website
Angelic Kisses: they're each unique and so much fun to explore.
Taarna Welles: wow
eva Nowicka: i love Huang
Grid Admin: yes, it's amazing
Felix Mafia: also Hikonai
steamy steamison: Felix's builds are always amazing
James Atlloud: the bunny ride is great, Tina.
Tina Bey: Try it yourself
We took a long walk across the region and ended up at a great waterfall, which is viewed picturesquely from across a lake, the sounds and animations really bring this part of Easter Land to life.
Ary Ravenshire: the whole place is amazing, and beautiful
Felix Mafia: it's another part that I was happy to create... Here are my father's ashes, he loved fishing very much
James Atlloud: Very beautiful.
Thirza Ember: what a beautiful spot to end this week's adventure, thanks so much Felix for letting us better understand your creativity, it has been lovely
Taarna Welles: It is fantastic!
eva Nowicka: nice visit, thanks for it, Felix, Grid... see you next week!!!
Yara Eilde: Thanks Felix, everything here is beautiful.
Thirza Ember: thanks all, and see you for the final safari next week
