Safari Sees the Blues

We went for a blues concert, and a visit to Wolem Wobbit''s home on Metropolis.
Wolem is best known for his music - you can follow him on Youtube to hear some epic covers, and also a lot of really lovely original songs. He's a romantic! The Safari first came across Wolem playing on German Grid right at the start of our adventures in 2014, and he has been a firm favorite with us all ever since then. You might recall his epic set at Justin CC's farewell party last year.So yes, as well as playing music, Wolem has branched out into building. And we were invited to come take a look! Visiting Metropolis Grid is always a pleasure, although more recently, lag has been a bit of an issue.
However, these sims seemed to stand up pretty well t it all. He has built 3 regions here, we didn't have time to get to it all, so we opted to enjoy the atmosphere of the sim called Chicago Blues.
Wolem's idea is to share these regions with anyone who would like to join him. The buildings on his regions are largely empty, as are the shops. He's willing to share the sims with people who would like to make a home here, furnish the flats, and generally bring some life to the place. Sounds like a sweet deal!
The theme f the place is of course, musical. It borrows from the Blues tradition of Chicago in the 1930s and 40s and onwards. The big names associated with it are Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and John Lee Hooker. These musicians went on to influence great bands like Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton... you can see why tht would appeal to Wolem!
After a concert and a tour, both fabulous, we went on to see Mobius grid's latest venture, a work in progress called Robotropolis, owned by Dean Fauxly and built by Dork Monger and Knazerath.
As usual, our guide and host  was Serra Royale and he showed us the remarkable region. If you know your Sonic the Hedgehog lore, you'll know that this city was founded by Robotnik in the Land of Darkness. It's a tech city, all about mining and factories and so has a dark side, although we had nothing but praise for it!

Sorry to say, my graphics card was having a bad week of it and the photos here are limited publicity shots, but that's no reflection on these two extraordinary pieces of virtual culture. Love it!
