All at See

Redwood Bay is a relatively new region on Neverworld grid, and it's home to The Rocking the Seas cruise, which was launched on 4 May this year. The event was a big success, so another is planned for some time during the July 4 weekend, so keep an eye on the Neverworld grid events to check times and dates. There's so much to see!
Put together by Gundahar Bravin, the cruise build has a contemporary East-West coast feel to it, and the ship sits alongside the Opensim Coast Guard boat, an essential piece of kit if you think about the vastness of the virtual sea! Neverworld owner Govega Sachertorte was very happy with the May event.
Govega Sachertorte: Gundahar did a magnificent guided tour, with DJs. We had 25 people on the initial tour and were thinking in the future to have you guys come visit us for a hg safari tour ... its really amazing,  the whole cruise is scripted on a 4x4 region, gift shop, undersea submarine tours, and views of the bridge.
Gundahar Bravin: I decided to build a cruise ship because, well, the idea came from wanting to provide new and dynamic event venues for our Residents and visitors. Not just a club, but a truly memorable experience! I first thought of a cruise ship, because I wanted a moving platform, with entertainment, drinks and many beautiful sights to see while enjoying dancing and interacting with others. I owe many thanks to our Assistant Event Manager Amanda Greenthumb, she deserves a great deal of credit for much of the modification work and countless hours helping me put all of this together.

As most people know, Josh Boam the owner of AviWorlds is a boat builder (he sells many creations in SL  - a classic example of the creativity crossover between platforms). Emasmus is one of Josh's boats, and while they have made lots of modifications to the boat, they left the name the same, as a mark of respect.
Gundahar Bravin: The main attractions for the events, are of course the entertainers themselves, which can be DJs, Live Entertainers, and so forth.  We have several Live Video feeds on several levels of the ship, which coincide with the event. The 3D screen at the front of the ship is amazing!   There are two main bars serving adult beverages and snack foods. There is an upper deck for lounging and sightseeing.
This is a by-appointment tour, but if you drop by when wandering the HG, you can  enjoy the shopping possibilities. Why isn't it an auto-cruise? Because this is quite a complex operation.

Gundahar Bravin: We plan these events ahead of time so we can provide adequate staff, servers and crew. As it is a living-moving event venue, (the only one I know of), it takes quite a crew to insure its safe operation, and the comfort of every guest.
The port area boasts a cute ferris wheel, hinting at the ups and downs of opensim, which let's be honest, are often a big part of the appeal! And since it's a 'rocket wheel', it's worth mentioning another region within a stone's thrown of Redwood Bay...
NWG Airport not only has a fancy terminal, the region hosts an impressive collection of aircraft, from hot air balloons to spaceships, with loads of things to do and to learn. But back to the boat...
Gundahar Bravin: The cruise event lasts about 45 minutes, which can be adjusted for each individual event.  The Launch Event was 3 hours and we had four different entertainers! Our local sights include the beautiful Little Willow Bay, the immaculate Golden Gate Bridge, there is a whole underwater adventure that guests can partake in, completely guided by experienced submarine pilots at our mid-sea dock.
Gundahar Bravin: The cruise is programmed to pause briefly for this excursion. Then there is the observation of the shipping channel, and finally the gorgeous Bountiful Continent, where, on a clear day, you can observe the Tram driving by on the monorail within the city!

Gundahar Bravin:  Dress code varies by event, and is not strict, unless demanded by the host/hostess. We do feature a Moonlight Lovers Cruise which is formal/semi-formal. Most of our guests are comfortable in swimwear or beach attire. Fortunately we've only had one mishap with a passenger going overboard, but our observant crew were quick to retrieve them! We've had no   cases of food poisoning and our latest kitchen inspections by the Neverworld Health Department have given us a 100%!
Roffellos Kisses made this great video of the May event, and that gives you a great glimpse of the fun to be had on the virtual ocean wave
Govega Sachertorte: Gundahar is indispensable to us.  First of all, he is our #1 fan. He is full of energy and positivity. When our event manager position was open, he decided to take on the job and he is filled with ideas.  He runs our weekly karaoke and our radio station.   In addition, he is our webmaster and if he cannot find it, he will hammer it out until he creates a solution. We are currently converting to our web interface to W4os and he has been indispensable in this transition.  I cannot say enough about how much he means to Neverworld!
