Ipso-Fari

Our second stop this week was on BloodMoon Pack grid, to meet up with the French painter and videographer Prodyck Theas. We were there to see Ipsofacto, a sim with deep connections to Prodck's RL artistry, and also his many eyars of activity in opensim. Prodyck often streams inworld events on his Twitch account, though today he was busy showing us around - so here's the words and pictures part; if you'd like to see more pictures, why not join our Facebook group where photographer extraordinaire Roff Kisses has posted a few.
Prodyck Theas: bonjour
Vlad Helsing: Please click on the ball on Prodyck's head and choose your language.
Cherry Manga: hello bonsoir
Forest Azure: more desert!
Dings Digital: bonsoir
Tina Bey: que bueno!! llego el traductor!
Prodyck Theas: Has everyone arrived? Welcome to all It's been a long time since I've made any visits. The last time was on Craft  A thank you to Vlad for hosting regions. The theme of this region is after global warming. Man had to make little artificial paradises
Tosha Tyran: Oh my god, that is why it seemed so familiar - like looking out of my window in RL
Cherry Manga: global warming made clouds bloom as flowers , how sweet
Prodyck Theas: Follow me. Here a nod to the spirit of the times
Prodyck Theas:  I am a painter In OpenSim I don't present my paintings in galleries, I insert them into worlds of my creation. If you have the possibility you have a mirror
Prodyck Theas:  If you take the small elevator
To be quicker, many of us just did the point and click tp to arrive at the next level, since the elevator could only take one at a time.
Spax Orion: I cheated
Thirza Ember: me too
Spax Orion: do we lose any points for cheating?
Cherry Manga: we win some
Ayla Alvarez: we can start a chapter of elevator cheaters anonymous... ECA
Prodyck Theas: it's a puzzle... click on red button... Made by Acryline
Dings Digital: the puzzle is great
Spax Orion: you will never solve if we do not work together
Prodyck: Bravo ! You have reconstituted an image!
Thirza Ember: It's a long time since I saw Acrylene must be 5 years or more
puzzles cubes tableaux Prodyck: Bravo ! Vous avez reconstitué une image !
Vlad Helsing: me too, very long
Spax Orion: What happens when ALL pictures are solved?
Thirza Ember: Prodyck can anyone have that puzzle?
Cherry Manga: Do the formats shown here reflect the actual size of the paintings in real life, or did you play around with the dimensions in OpenSim?
Tosha Tyran: they come alive
Prodyck Theas: it is Copy
Tina Bey: hahaha no, you can't, it's addictive!!
Tosha Tyran: too much puzzling...
Ayla Alvarez: trying to figure out his absences?
Forest Azure: didn't you have a gallery before this, Prodyck?
Prodyck Theas: Most are 65 x 50 cm
Prodyck Theas:  These are canvases made in the open air, not photos
Cherry Manga: It's good to give them a life that's completely different from reality, yes.
Spax Orion: +1 Cherry
Forest Azure: smoking again, james!
Thirza Ember: sigh James the man of many vices
Prodyck Theas:  here it was the souvenir Francogrid
Thirza Ember: Prodyck, on how many different grids have you been resident?
Prodyck Theas: I was on Francogrid then Craft, then VD and here, in addition I have my own grid on my PC... here I have put objects from one of my regions that you will see. The canvases here are actually 50 cm x60. Expanded on OpenSIM for better visibility"
Prodyck Theas: This is my website web sitehttps://art-vie-et-couleurs-en-gatinais.e-monsite.com/
Thirza Ember: ooo laggging a little
Ayla Alvarez: are we stopping or lagging?
Cherry Manga: both
Tosha Tyran: I tried to look under the priest soutane - it made me crash
Forest Azure: so what did you see, Tosha?
Cherry Manga: Tosha! Repent of your sins, harlot of the devil.
Tosha Tyran: crashed - must have been hell!
Forest Azure: it is her hair!
Tosha and the train
Thirza Ember: oh poor Tosha!
Dings Digital: here we go
Tina Bey: Wow, girls, don't fight hehehe
Prodyck Theas: i Here is the waggon of President Deschanel who fell off the train
Thirza Ember: I love the blue tree
Ayla Alvarez: the flowers are beautiful
Prodyck Theas: Have you put the environment shared?
Cherry Manga: yes flowers as clouds
Spax Orion: always do
Vlad Helsing:  The environment made by Prodyck is magnificent
Prodyck Theas:  Here there is AI
Ayla Alvarez: liliputians...
Dings Digital: I like the ambient atmosphere of this area
Tina Bey:  Very beautiful
Prodyck Theas: Note that that this AI did not have anything as an object but reviewed objects already made on the internet, for example, this mushroom, the AI cheated a little.
Tosha Tyran: ah, and I think it is quite alright, that it cheats a little. Dont we all do it?
Dings Digital: I like this place
Cherry Manga: a good prompt will generate unique things, though
Dings Digital: that's the AI skill :)
Prodyck Theas:  it depends on which AI
Cherry Manga: of course, not french one Mistral, which is totally shitty :P
Dings Digital: best thing is, Ai does not care and shoves it down our throats
We moved on to the second part of this destination, a nearby region called Mahu. If you're thinking of joining us on Safari, but you don't have the full two hours free to do the whole tour, don't let that stop you joining us! We are glad of your company for as long as you're able to be part of the party.
Bob Solo: was great to be out an about this day Thank you Thirza, good to see new worlds. Have a Great Day Take Care all
Thirza Ember: hugs Bob, thanks for being here Shea
Spax Orion: this is very nice... thank you... very inspiring
Thirza Ember: wow a blue man
Prodyck Theas: Here we are in French Polynesia. I'm going to introduce you to what it means to be Māhū. The Māhū are much respected individuals found in French Polynesia and Hawaii.  Their lives have not been rosy.
Prodyck Theas: If you'll follow me over the bridge,  I explain how to become Māhū
Prodyck Theas:  When a family has only boys, the youngest is raised as a girl to help his mother
Tosha Tyran: oh, that is practical
Ayla Alvarez: Gloria Steinem would approve
Tosha Tyran: so does tosha tyran :D
Prodyck Theas:  later he was given distinctive signs
Forest Azure: huh? can't boys help their mother?
Tosha Tyran: so Māhū means transgender? or gender fluid?
Ayla Alvarez: ~controversy~
Thirza Ember: washing dishes should transcend gender... or let the dog lick them. That also works
Ricky Fournier: high-5 Thirza
Prodyck Theas:  as an adult he becomes Māhū, He is highly respected in the tribe, settles conflicts
Vanessa VanHelsing:  So, in their religion when a family has no girl, he transforms the last boy into a girl to help their mother

Thirza Ember: wow I learned a lot !  This is fascinating!
Vlad Helsing: yes me too,  I learned a lot of things
Prodyck Theas: Hawaii was purchased by the Puritans
Tosha Tyran: yeah, but the Puritans made life hell for everybody I think
Forest Azure: still! why do you need to transform a boy into a girl to help their mother?
Spax Orion: each culture has different ways of handling things
Thirza Ember: When you had the grid Les Carpathes there were some residents who lives as native people,  that was a very interesting concept
Prodyck Theas: When the Puritans came along, the Māhū had to take refuge, hence these crosses. Mahu can get married and have children. This has nothing to do with homosexuality.
When outside authorities took over the islands in about the 1820's, they frowned on the fact that the Māhū often wore fairly androgenous or feminine outfits, and forced them to wear a badge denoting the fact that the person is male, even if dressed in typically female garb. It's important to point out also that the term Māhū can be considered an insult in some places, so be careful using the word!
Tattoos play an vital role in the cultures of the islands of the Pacific, and they are also gendered. Males typically get tattoos on the right side of the body, and females on the left, the basis for this thinking is easy to guess. The Māhū on the other hand have bilateral, symmetrical tattoo sand this idea that they can see both sides of a situation in the 'gender war' is something that should be studied and treasured, not punished.
James Atlloud: I don't recall raising children to be anything other than their best selves.
Tosha Tyran: I think in Thailand there is a similar tradition and actually, I think in many cultures
Thirza Ember: we need to be mountain goats to come here
Ayla Alvarez: or sheep... but not lemmings
Prodyck Theas: This is where the gods can be found, and the temple. There's a beautiful view
Spax Orion: my health insurance will not cover accidental loss of life if I fall off this cliff
Ayla Alvarez: we need comprehensive health insurance
Thirza Ember: Spax you are fully covered... you will not get any money, but you will be covered, with something.
Spax Orion: precisely
Prodyck Theas: Let's go down to the house
Tosha Tyran: this is a wild landscaping
Prodyck Theas: The Banderoles are messages of love in French. Whatever their color, a human is a human
Find the Frebies on Mahu
Tosha Tyran: you are all floating - maybe because of the love poems hanging here?
Vlad Helsing: There are gifts here
Prodyck Theas:  Love and perfume are hidden
Thirza Ember: wow what a fun and informative visit Prodyck... really interesting, and thanks also to Pierre and Vanessa and of course the great Vlad for being here to greet us
Vlad is very tall.
Vanessa VanHelsing: With pleasure Thirza
Spax Orion: Thanks for the inspiring tour!
Prodyck Theas: Group photo... any other questions?
Thirza Ember: if you can get 50% of the people facing the same way that is a victory
Roffellos Kisses: great Safari
Vlad Helsing: Thank you, I am also preparing a new sim that will be the home of my vampire clan, to visit soon
Pierre Segrov:  I have a question: Where is the buffet? The refreshment bar?
James Atlloud: ha ha ha
Prodyck (center) and most of the happy band of Safarians
Ayla Alvarez: how can you be hungry at a time like this?
Thirza Ember: see you all next week
James Atlloud: A very fun Safari everyone - thanks for your company! Ty Prodyck and friends!
Tosha Tyran: ok, good people! Its been great fun!
