Destiny at the Movies

 It's finally here, Loru Destiny's fabulous Opensim Film festival. Months in the making, this unique event pitted the wits and witticism of all of Opensim's filmmakers, representing people from many different grids, languages, and parts of the world, all sharing their visions of the virtual world with us.

The sim has that 'somewhere way out West' look to it, with ruddy bluffs and a bit of a canyon, the ideal space in which to have a vast Drive In with all your favorite muscle cars and rusty trucks.

But there is plenty of glamor here too, at the opening party, there were plenty of paparazzi waiting as you glide in through the exclusive entrance, not to mention the metal detector and the beefy bodyguard at the door.

The main event is surely the Drive In ' click on the posters in front of the giant screen to access the many choices of short film and enjoy! I first chose the one by Loruàs husband Tryad Destiny. It's stunning! But you don't have to only watch one, sit a while and enjoy them all. 

It is an impressive response to a brilliant idea! Remember that, to avoid any inworld drama or hurt feelings, the Film Festival doesn't declare a winner - they're all winners in terms of creativity and participation. You can, though, express your preference by Subscribing to people's YouTube channel, sharing and commenting on videos. All of that helps get the word out to a wider public by 'feeding the algorythm'. 

The Festival will be open for the next two weeks only, so don't delay, go and get your fill of Opensim Movies today. And the Oscar goes to ....Loru Destiny, seen here dancing with Tryad, for making this event happen in such a stylish and friendly way!
