Shelly Island

Imagine a place that's a little bit Neverland, a little bit Castaway, a little bit Survivor, Lost, and Treasure Island, and above all a LBGTQIA and straight friendly. Located  on Dark Wolf's grid, Adult Life, It's Shelly Island.

The landing point gives you a little glimpse at the amount of backstory that went into the planning of the sim. Remember to join the group when you arrive, without it, you can't go any further into the build. It's a place for romance and for parties, which are Saturdays at 8pm German time, 11am SLT. Here's Chrissy, Dark Wolf's wife, with me at the entrance. Guess who's not been to the tanning salon in a while...

Dark Wolf:  Shelly Island is somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. Several ships and planes have crashed here, and the survivors have escaped to a deserted island. Shelly Island was founded.

Dark Wolf: Everything that could be used for survival on the island was salvaged from the wrecks and brought to the island. Once here, it's all about survival and spending the day in the spirit of the community. In addition to the tasks on the farm, at the Shelly Beach Club, and other opportunities, Community also offers all interested men the opportunity to rent a small piece of land.

The farm provides plenty of nourishment and finger food, and there's also a wind farm for the lights. You can tour the whole 4x4 using a hot air balloon, it's an ideal way to get the feel of the oceanic panorama and also quickly arrive at the main points of interest.

Dark Wolf:  The residents obtain their basic provisions on the farm. Some native animals were discovered on the island and are now being bred. Fortunately, one of the crashed planes had loaded some animals as cargo. The animals that survived were taken to the farm. A rich deposit of gemstones was discovered right on the farm.

The backstory really informs the layout of the land and gives a tongue in cheek 'explanation' for how the sim works... Dark Wolf explains

Dark Wolf:  Even though everyone is happy to have found a piece of paradise, there are a few small problems: Due to the shortage of fabric, only loincloths are possible, or one can live naked on the island. As if that weren't enough, Myth (as guardian of the atoll) has decided that women will only be allowed on the island for 24 hours. After 24 hours, women mysteriously disappear. The only woman allowed/required to live on Shelly Island is Chrissy Coage.

Making her a sort of Wendy in the equation, but of course in a non-childhood setting; this is an Adult only region. The dance area is neatly positioned over a lake - during the day when it's not in use, it disappears under the water, leaving the unspoilt paradise pristine.

Dark Wolf: Even though all of this sounds harsh, the male residents are more than happy on the island. Caribbean flair, constant sunshine at 28 degrees Celsius and a light breeze, and no woman waiting around the campfire with a frying pan at their wooden house after a long night. That can certainly inspire the thoughts of the male residents. After work, many cozy spots invite you to unwind at the end of the day. Conversations around the campfire or in wooden huts provide a romantic atmosphere. Those who want to engage in close combat can do so right there.

Thirza Ember: Are there any rules or tips that people should know about before visiting?

Dark Wolf: Ladies (as visitors) and gentlemen are welcome on the island. No avatars will be accepted unless they are at least 18+ in appearance. Naked male avatars can and will be encountered on the island. Respect the privacy of others. Do not harass any avatars encountered in an interaction.
