Yes, Safari is back for our 2025 Fall season and of course, when a bunch of people suddenly arrive on a new sim all together it can take a little minute before all the elements are visible to everyone... not to mention the occasional missing texture here and there, but that's all part of the fun of going as a group. The HG Address is of course at the end of the post.

Our first stop - and our second stop too, this week were both on OSGrid. In fact, this very first destination on sim Forest of Azure, with our hostess Forest Azure, was supposed to be part of last season's lineup. Only, as you may remember, OSGrid was offline for a little while there, back in the Spring. Nice to have it back up and running, perhaps better than ever. We certainly were all glad to be there.

Forest Azure: Hello all ye safari people! So glad to see you again and welcome you here!  And so great the safari season started again! We are here in the first place for my Maze gallery, but you have time to explore other parts of my region as well, or to dance here if you like, or maybe even both! Let me first show you the tp boards.. here is one and they all look like this.

Forest Azure: Then, about the Maze gallery.. what is it?  It is just that, a gallery structured as a Maze. In this gallery you go from one room to another by choosing the right answer to a question: a, b or c. Push the button and when you choose the right answer, the door will open. Don't worry, you won't fall in a trap or something when you choose wrong; you'll just hear an annoying sound :)

Forest Azure: The question for all rooms right now is: Where was this picture taken? So the maze 'tests' your knowledge of locations in OS. And as safari people we saw a lot of those, right? Now see if you recognize them so you can get through the Maze!

Forest Azure: yes

Star Ravenhurst: I will never get them right

Taarna Welles: where is the button?

Forest Azure: the button is on the doors.  As you can imagine, this concept has many possibilities for other themes, for instance a storyline, portraits of OS residents, details of pictures .. I am planning to use a fairytale story line next.  The Maze building was made and scripted by my friend Poppy Fields: i just did the filling:) We will explore the maze in groups of 3, with a few minutes between the start of each group. I will go up there and tp the members of the next group every few minutes. I'll give the next group a heads up in time.

Forest Azure: and since i'll use radar, it will be in alphabetical order :)

Forest Azure: While you are waiting for your turn, feel free to dance an/ or to roam around :) There is a lot to see here, for instance, a castle, a Japanese Island,  a school, a hospital, a church, a fantasy island and lots more. Across the Maze is my 'usual' gallery, with b/w pictures right now.

Kimm Starr: Everything is art, it's an artists paradise. It's incredibly inspiring. The first time I landed in the mother ship known as SL, I was hooked on creating

Tina Bey: It's a Garden of Eden with all the tools available to creators, it's Cielo [heaven] OpenSim.

Lavia LLavine: I would say for me, it is growth, learning, getting acquainted with my fellow human beings around the world.  When you see the beauty of a region, I believe you see the beauty of their heart.

eva Nowicka: It's my turn to try no get lost in the maze :D hope there are no spiders :D

Thirza Ember: when we began these safari trips it was really hard to actually 'find' people in Opensim... a lot has happened in 11 years

Star Ravenhurst: It has. My friend list...so many people on  and none on my grid. THAT is like magic compared to how it used to be

Kimm Starr: i guess it was still new then

Thirza Ember: yes, that was one of the reasons it began, to find out where the people were, lots of disconnected creative types

Kimm Starr: I've been here 10 years and spent the first 5 alone on my sim I started meeting people after I opened my shop, koshari Mahana was my first customer

Tina Bey: I have been here for 14 very happy years. I have learned and continue to learn from these wonderful worlds

Star Ravenhurst: I credit Safari for helping us to connect to each other. That is how I started meeting people, going on Safari

Thirza Ember: plus many grids were paranoid about losing residents, so there was a frostiness

Star Ravenhurst: They still are - Afraid of losing people. Then there are those who don't really care.

Thirza Ember: and your hair didn't always travel with you.... hmm some things don't change

Taarna Welles: sometimes more what isn't traveling with you  :)

Thirza Ember: I was looking through all the grids that have gone, since i got to opensim in 2008 or 9  ... so many... but a lot of the same people are still here

Star Ravenhurst: Well things change. People started their own grids eventually. Having my own grid has given me opportunities I would not have had otherwise.

Thirza Ember: Forest  was this difficult to make? it was really cleverly done, with the 3 choices

 Forest Azure: Well, poppy fields did the scripting and the building. The next one will be a story  with questions and pics... Cinderella Azu style :)

Forest Azure: ah.. a few days, i think, for me to fill it  and get the doors ok
