Saturday HIE25

The HIE region filled up nicely for our conference on Saturday, with a peak of 52 avatars on the sim during MorlitaM and Cherry Manga's flawless performance of "Dual Wave", an outstanding audio visual experience none of us are likely to forget. But lots more happened also!
For the full schedule, don't forget to bookmark the HIE website
The event kicked off with a five language, five person panel, welcoming everyone; Emil Jannings  in English , Richi Rizzoli in German, Minord Loup in French, Lorenza Colicigno in Italian and AnaMari Maggi in Spanish.
There were six events, apart from the Welcome panel, three in German and three in French.
Loru Destiny of ArtDestiny grid spoke first, on her own philosophy of Opensim, the importance of tolerance, of creativity and exploration, and of course of friendship and community.
Loru's talk was food for thought about how to live well in opensim.
Bink Draconia of Pangea Grid gave an interesting talk explaining the way she was able to develop a scripted Dance pad by Karsten Runningbear and make an entire NPC performance out of them. She arrived flying onto the set and sat on top of the tv to give her talk, before beginning the demonstration

- here's a video of that, you'll love those cute little dancers!

Neo Cortex took the stage for the final German presentation - his tool for NPCs called Story Sequencer isn't just an elegant piece of work, it is going to be a massive help to anyone who wants to expand their use of NPCs in a dynamic and interactive way.
The French session, which began at 12:00 noon SLT or 9pm in Europe was a big hit. despite a short hiccup on the sim, the attendance was soon up into the low 50 range.
Nadir Rae
Minord Loup and LadyKa 007 introduced Nadir Rae first, and we enjoyed her talk about the way Opensim expands our horizons, our life experience, and why this is such an enriching place to be. This was followed by Dual Wave which swept us all up in the talent of Cherry Manga and MorlitaM
Remember, this event was streamed live and you can see the videos on our Youtube channel - please Subscribe, 'Like' the individual videos, leave a comment, and share them with your friends. It really makes a difference!
Finally Tristan Dehaie of SV3D took the stage - in more ways than one, talking about his theatrical projects. He has worked in Sl and also in Opensim bringing theater to the francophone community with the play show in in the poster, and blogged about here. Tristan plans to build on that success with more plays, and more languages. A great positive note on which to end day one of the conference!
Sunday April 6 is the Italian and Spanish part of the event, with music after by Forest Azure.
