Wolf Leaps Forward

When a grid migrates its servers to a new rl location, it's often quite a tricky process. Just the words 'grid migration' have your average opensim resident shaking in their thigh length boots, admit it.
But that's not always the case... sometimes it can go as smooth as a silk, or the silky fur of a Wolf...
That was the case today, when Wolf Territories Grid announced they have moved their servers about 200 kms across Germany, from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt. After 3 years at the Myloc Center in the Rhine-Rhur, it was time for a change. The new home of Wolf Territories Grid's cluster of servers is now using - you guessed it - cutting edge technology. Would you expect any less of this large and innovative grid? Probably not.
So how long did this 200 km journey take?
Just under a quarter of an hour! Pretty impressive when you think that the landmass of WTG is on a par, if not slightly larger, than SL.
For the team at Wolf Territories - grid owner Lone Wolf, grid admins Luna Stormfeather and DJ Illusions, and tech gurus Busty and Daja Fjord - this is a strategic improvement to an already well-run operation. From his fancy office on Wolf Territories Exhibition, Lone describes this move as " a leap towards an even more diverse and expansive virtual realm."
The migration to bigger and better hints at expansion, and the grid has some pretty ambitious goals: 100,000 regions and 100,000 users, according to today's press release. Can they do it? Let's see!

  2. Hiya to all! ;) I joined Wolf Territories way back in Dec. Since I have been on WT I have seen the amazing growth here on WT. I could not be more pleased here than I have on any other grid that I have been on before. Lone Wolf has a supernatural mind. I must shockingly say that my mind is astounded by the way Sir Lone Wolf has expanded the resources on this grid in such an extreme form. I am privileged to be a part of this grid! I give Sir Lone Wolf 🐺 🙌 👏 praises galore for remarkable work that he has done thus far! Thank you, Sir Lone!
