The Art of the Wolf

Wolf. There, quickly. What comes to mind? Perhaps the sleek fur, an indomitable intelligence, a pack working together. Or something shadowy, sinister, threatening and scary. Is the wolf for you part of the realm of the supernatural, part of endangered nature, or is it all these things? The relationship between man and wolf is as old as humanity, and wolves stalk world languages, popping up in metaphors and idiomatic expressions, proverbs and poems.
No wonder they make such a good starting point for AI art, which you can see - along with some original work by Lone Wolf, on the welcome sim of Wolf Territories Grid.
When you first arrive on Wolf Territories Grid, you'll find yourself in a circular space, full of information about how the grid works, how you can be part of it, how to get help, information, and find your way around this vast grid, which seems to be growing every day.
Before heading out into the wilds of Wolf Territories, or going sailing, riding, exploring and shopping, take a moment to look at the art gallery right next door to the landing spot, in this snowy dome, built by Luna Lunaria.
Would be silly to show you all the art from the show, because the idea is for you to go and experience is yourself.  Nicely curated with a few dozen discrete and highly individual portraits of the wolf - the ideal animal, the magic creature, the real thing, peeping out from the forest, the heraldic symbol of warriors and proud families.
They're all part of a life long passion for Lone, and of course he's not alone in that...  all across the Northern Hemisphere, the wolf has inspired admiration, fear, and curiosity. From Navajo to Norse mythology, and in places as different as Greece and Finland, wolves persist in nature and in the cultural memory and identity of dozens of nations.
This painting is an original by Lone, and along with all the other art, with its various genres and styles, the Gallery forms a thoughtful patchwork of concepts and expectations, under the splendid coffered ceiling. The space, like all spaces on Wolf Territories, speak to a sense of gentle optimism and opprtunity. Plenty of room for growth, and no stress.
Wolf Territories is big behind the scenes, too - now up to 11 servers! It's a spacious, low drama grid, probably because - well, acreage. People are busy carving out their homesteads, castles, cities and desert kingdoms I guess. And yet, if you're in a sociable mood, entertainment is not scarce, and Lone provides a pretty amazing archive of tutorials and informative vids on his Youtube Channel - the choice and variety for residents is as wide and intriguing as the art in this show.
All in all, an exhibition, and a grid, to watch!
