Vive la Evolution

Mech Lab on OSGrid, by Symphony Vive, has a cool teal vibe to it, and thrilling motto: 'are you ready for the cyborg evolution? '  If you weren't when you arrived on Mech Lab VAR region, on OSGrid, you will be very soon!

In the parlance of manga and anime, the term 'mech' or 'mecha' refers to, well, machines! Robots and large, pilotable vehicles, with their beauty lying in their complexity.
An inspiration for Symphony is the 2011 movie Real Steel, with Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, and some rocking boxing robots. But mostly, it's just based on personal childhood dreams of futuristic builds.
Mech Lab is laid out in a series of low profile islands, with hi rise accents here and there.
The greatest attraction on Mech Lab is the souvenir or freebie store, located on the city-scape island.
It's a good place to start, for you'll find physical vehicles both familiar and fantastic - from the F16 through to the E45 shuttle. Join the group to access these freebies, which are available in both uBODE and Bullet format. Worth getting the Recon vehicle, just for the sea monkeys.
But don't shop and go - there's plenty to look at here.  Check out the neat vehicles...
... and witty posters.
What's Symphony's meshy philosophy, and what's the hardest part of meshing?
Symphony Vive: I like to make  what I  want. I use thingys  from others as well,  especial  common items,  like  buildings  or  trees. Texturing  some  meshes  used to be  hard. It's easy now with  software though: Substance  painter is  good , and  also  Blender  has  texturing. Quixel Mixer is a  good  free alternate  one for textures.
There's even a sit-upon scripted box that will clear your cache without you having to log out.
With a strong emphasis on security and weaponry at a high level, you will do well to take a good look around both the city...
... and the other islands.
The servers are a particularly well put together treat.
Symphony's impressive rack
And for goodness' sake check, for underground tunnels!

For me, though, these two little vehicles sum up the spirit of the sim - elegant and sleek, and ready to go. A symphony of sci fi!
