Mouse Look

 If you like ice and mice and gnomes and Hunts with useful gifts, then the upcoming OSGrid hunt by Nani Ferguson and Ange Menges - an opensim season stretching back a decade! - is for you.

The sim's name is Khione, a wintry figure from Greek Mythology - daughter of an Athenian princess and the North Wind - who has risen to fame thanks to the Percy Jackson novels. But let's stick to openim ... this Hunt as always begins with a little backstory and aHUD, supplied by the Snowman.Use the HUD to find the next place to go. 

As you can see in the photo below, there is a image clue as well as a written explanation (shown on the right side of this picture). Simply can cam or walk around the sim, enjoying the sights and sounds, looking for the tableau that matches the image. You can edit the HUD if the picture is too small for you to make out the details.

When you find the right place, make sure you are standing close to the character named in the clue (in this case, Otto the Painter) and you will get the next clue automatically. In this case, it was a dwarf with some cobalt blue paint. 

Voila here is the first prize - a useful bench-and-barrel set that can grace any medieval courtyard. 19 more prizes to go!

It's yet another imaginative and charming build, and for those of us who really rather hate the xmas hype, blissfully unchrismassy.  Khione opens to the public on December 25, for your hunting delight!
