Je suis posey, avec mon poney, je kiffe ma journey

OK... Feelings of calm - a pleasurable journey - at the Apocalypse?   And surely those aren't ponies. Yikes! You know how it is with horseplay, it's all fun and games, until someone gets hurt. Or the world ends.

Terra... and Terra!

Well no, of course they aren't ponies, they are the famous 4 Horses - in this case, Domination, War, Famine/Disease, and Death - the brainchild of Terra Merhyem in her latest build, 'The 4 Horseriders of the Apocalypse'  which is part of the ongoing and very lively Pangea Festival of Art and Culture. 

The audience is part of the art on Terra's builds, and pretty soon we were all in sync. The idea was to come dressed for battle - I dug out my tumbleweed revolver and a tiger-skin dress, but many of the others were far more appropriately dressed, which added enormously to the effect.

On the whole, Terra's events are inherently ephemeral, so it's a good idea to put them in your calendar, for although the sim is a walkable garden of dark delights, the best way to absorb the sim is to cam around during the performance, with the music and the moving avies center stage. 

The attention to detail is always perfect on Terra's build, never excessively didactic but always informative, poetic, and powerful.

Lampithaler, the Director of the Pangea Festival

Before saying more, a big shout out to Lampithaler Artist, the Director of the Festival and co-owner, with Malon Wyngard, of Pangea grid. Lampi's enthusiasm, professionality, generosity and talent are what makes these events happen. She frequently videos events on her grid, so you may like to subscribe to her youtube channel

Divided into five areas, Terra's region is a vibrant, violent allegory of anxiety. 

Death and dismay are on every side, but portrayed with such glorious colors and attractive detail that it is hard to be pessimistic about the world seen through her eyes. Horses dominate in different colors, each one presiding over a tableau of objects illustrating the point of the poem under the fierce cutout lion. Lots and lots to see here. And those dances!

The event was well attended - 23 at least on the sim, and no lag. Part way through the performance, we were joined by Medora Chavalier and the her group The Imaginals. They ended their rehearsal of Summer of Love early in order to participate.

The party is passed, but the region is open and you can visit anytime to experience the build.
