Ghost Castle on PM Grid

This week we had the opportunity to visit Fuschia Nightfire's build on PM Grid.
Bob Wellman the grid owner has generously donated a number of sims to artists, and they've done some amazing work here, like the regions of Romenna, with its port and huge rambling cityscape and walkable underground sewer system. Other artists have brought works that first saw light of day in SL, like sosor nishi's trees.
This build by Fuschia aka Nina Camplin is another case in point. It is called 'Ghost Castle' and it's based on the real life place, Corfe Castle, in Dorset, England.
The ghostly part of the build is that different parts of the building complex appear and disappear as you move around. This reflects the way the shape of the castle has changed through history as it was gradually created, modified, attacked, abandoned, allowed to slip into ruin thanks to the effects of wind water icy temperatures and landslides, and then eventually somewhat restored and brought into a condition that makes it one of the top tourist attractions of that part of the world.
Fuschia provided horses for everyone so we could enter in style, passing under this arch...
... and then up along a narrow walkway into a spooky misty and wild landscape. Barely room to turn your horse around without creating a dramatic traffic jam! You can ride your horse right into the castle and even get to the very top of the tower, which is impressive equestrianism in any world.
And in the courtyard there is some further sinister goings on, with fire  in the night...no pun intended....

What a great opportunity to so something that people have been dying to do for years, put SaveMe Oh on the bonfire! Watch her go! Snowbody probably shouldn't stand quite so close, he risks singeing his wings. This was one of the most hilarious and interactive builds we have been on that didn't involve dancing since the Safari trips began, and the sim, although at times a bit temperamental when so many people arrive all at the same time, performed perfectly, so kudos to Bob for a good job.
Saveme Oh on the pyre. It was bound to happen some time.
But the main praise goes to Fuschia Nightfire, for thinking up this installation and having the skills in scripting and modelling to make it all come together. What fun!
