IMAB Begins

The Intergrid Metaverse Arts Biennial isn't just a mouthful, it's also an interesting art project headed by Velazquez Bonetto and Josina Burgess
They want to raise awareness of multimedia art in all grids. They are based in Second life (with a presence on the Metropolis grid) and the IMAB ball rolling with a performance of The Change, a mixture of music, scripted scenes, costumes, particles, and general-mind blowing virtuosity.
The show will be repeated each Sunday at 2pm PST on sim Benvolio (SL)so don't worry that you missed the premiere, which was timed to coincide with the centenary of visionary scientist Nicholas Schoffer. More about the opening night on the IMAB home page.
Tonight, the fun continues with another show on another grid, this time on InWorldz.
It is at Alizarin Goldflake's sim Alizarine Lakes. The huge build is divided into four domes, each telling a chapter of the story Aquarella Rising an original fable about our environment, and how much it needs protecting. Hunt for clues, read the chapters, and enjoy the many poses and the beautiful artwork.
The challenge open to you is - get involved!
Let's show off our virtual art to the masses! All residents on all grids are invited to join IMAB, to add a page to the website in which they describe themselves and their art.
Whether you're a musician, a photographer, a builder, scripter, a gallery owner, or simply view yourself as a player with prims, IMAB wants to hear from you ! Go to the IMAB website and sign up. Click on the link to 'Add yourself as an artist' and follow the instructions.
On top of that, IMAB is looking for people willing to host events on grids of all sizes. If you'd like to organize an exhibition or performance on your home grid, you can have your event added to the calendar and publicized by IMAB, simply by emailing Velazquez Bonetto at velazquez.bonetto@googlemail.com
Hope to see you tonight in InWorldz!

  1. Alizarin said... Thanks so much, Thirza! Great photos - I have never looked at the build in that light, and they give me a whole new perspective on my own work. Deftly done!
