OSFest Countdown

This year, OSFest is in October, for the two weeks from Monday, October 12 through Monday, October 26 and the theme of the event this year is fantasy and science fiction. 

Principal organizer Shelenn Ayres gave an informative interview about the motivation and the philosophy of the event when she was a guest on Inworld Review, you can watch that show here.

It's not just Shelenn of course; and she would be the first one to thank the volunteers and helpers, new and old, who have come forward to help with the organizing and publicity.  

You'll find loads of mesh by Kimm Starr, for example, and even at this early date, a couple of weeks before opening, there are already builds representing grids like Genesis RP, Elsewhere, Tenth Dimension, Harmony's Haven, and The Zones to name a few.

The grid has orthodox fairground rides, publicity displays, installations, and music parties. You'll never feel alienated on these dance floors!

That said, OSFest is a hybrid event, it's not all happening on the dedicated grid, you can also have an event on your own grid, and include it in the OSFest calendar. 

This option can be a great time saver as you don't have to make a special build just for the fortnight of the event. For example, the HG Safari visit to Star Ravenhurst's Electric Vortex build on TenthDimension grid is also posted as part of the OSFest festivities.
