Our second stop this week was on Genesis Roleplay Grid, and our host Lavia Lavine has woven many great stories on her various builds. This time, we went to see Leshmor a luscious fantasy region with a deep and rich backstory to every part.
The official landing point where the Beacon is located is a small room, possibly a prison, in an ancient tower. We were soon teleported away but not before Taarna stepped up on the table!
Dings Digital: beer and bread, who needs more?
Dings Digital: beer and bread, who needs more?
Thirza Ember: Taarna if you're going to stand on the table, you better dance
Pete Taylor: cosy :)
Taarna Welles: ?? I'm on the floor in my screen? But I can dance :)
Pretty soon we all met up with Lavia and Terri who guided us around the region.
Lavia.LLavine: Okay let me welcome you all to Leshmor Islands
Petlove Petshop: thank you! love the ambiance!
Lavia LLavine: Leshmor was once a full continent until the great war with the Djinn. We have been slowly rebuilding but it's a long process Here we have the Elements that keep the Islands strong and the guardian elements Earth, wind, fire and water It is a mystical, magical, place of mayhem. Let's walk to Leshmor Castle.
Lavia LLavine: this is the lower entrance.
Taarna Welles: Impressive Lavia
Dings Digital: wonderful hall
Lavia LLavine: In the story I play Queen Apsonsi and Terri, (Eva) is my personal guard and protector. Some of you have been here before for a dance
Koshari Mahana: I wish I had an animation for kneel :)
James Atlloud: ooo, champagne
Lavia LLavine: What you might find interesting about Leshmor is that the people are called Lamassu. They have the ability to shape shift, mine shifts into a winged lioness. There are Lamassu bovine, lion, eagle and human
Thirza Ember: nice throne Lavia -
Lavia Lavine: Thank you Thirza it's my build from Meshy AI
Thirza Ember: room for growth!
Lavia Lavine: Lots of room
James Atlloud: career advancement
Taarna Welles: That's a huge job Lavia
Taarna Welles: That's a huge job Lavia
Koshari Mahana: Lavia, who is the King?
Lavia Lavine: The king sadly was killed in the war and Apsonsi now rules... there was a war with the Djinn. But now they are at peace and face an even bigger darker enemy. But that's neither here nor there.
Thirza Ember: less Djinn, more Gin
Petlove Petshop: with Swizzle for the olives
Lavia Lavine: Exactly Thirza LOL I am writing a book to tell this story
Dings Digital: The ceiling with the lighting is good
James Atlloud: yes, great textures
Thirza Ember: very lovely, Lavia do you find that making the build in 3D helps you imagine your plot more?
Lavia Lavine: Absolutely Thirza, I get in my head what I want, build it, then I can write... It sets the mood.
Dings Digital: library, awesome... no reason to leave this house
Petlove Petshop: sweet!
Thirza Ember: so Meshy has really been a gamechanger for you!
We walked out of the castle and through a sharp looking portcullis and out into the forest to find the Mage's house.
Lavia Lavine: You will want to stay with me because there are dangerous critters in these parts
Lavia Lavine: This is a mage cabin, it has everything a good mage needs... you're welcome to go inside/ I have it on good authority she's not home today

Koshari Mahana:: Love the bed and the fireplace!
James Atlloud: ever so comfy
Petlove.Petshop can't take James anywhere!
We moved on to the Leshmor Mage Library & Tavern
Lavia Lavine: The Library and tavern were all Terri's idea
Lavia Lavine: And she did a great job with it.
Beth.Ghostraven: ooh library and tavern! my favorite combo!
Dings Digital: here is a recipe for a vegan bowl
Terri S: I do admit it was fun when we worked on Leshmor
Lavia Lavine: This is the Leshmor mage Library, you may go inside,Terri S did this. She does lovely work and helped me all over the region, Including but not limited to adding door knockers
James Atlloud: OH! there are beds upstairs!!
Dings Digital: a library of drinks
James Atlloud: yes, if my library in town had mead I'd be there much more often!
Petlove Petshop: great combination yes!
Lavia Lavine: that was our thinking
Terri S: Truth be known, I am a modern kinda of gal with a wine spirit.
Lavia Lavine: now don't get close to the triffids, they can and will send you back to your home region
Petlove Petshop: it ate James!
Kimm Starr: that thing is crazy
James Atlloud: ah, I tempted the triffid!!

Lavia Lavine: This is the village of Soko Flats and it is protected by the Water guardian and her mages. Here they provide lots of fresh water, and plenty of fresh food and fish. She has green light swirling around her, that is the energy for the area
Lavia Lavine: Mostly I look up a word I'm thinking of and put it in Google Translate, then use a foreign language that I like. Most of the time it's Swahili or Zulu. Sometimes Hebrew. For instance Apsonsi is actually a word in the folklore of India. She was the equivalent of the Lamassu of Persia. They were winged guardians who had the body of a lion, wings of an eagle and head of an eagle or lion. Originally this build was going to be based on "The Witcher"... But it took on a personality and life of its own once I got started.
Lavia Lavine: the white tower is where the dignitaries are kept so that they're safe... it is also, just as the Tower of London, used to house criminals and enemies of the crown... the white tower is protected by the wind guardian and her mages
James Atlloud: oooo, floating island
Lavia Lavine: yes, one can only reach it if they can fly. And that is a major plus for the inhabitants of Leshmor nearly all can fly
James Atlloud: I'd expect no less
Lavia Lavine: if you look from here you can see the main castle and that is a tactical advantage, from here the leaders can command their warriors where t go and what to do next
Thirza Ember: is this a new roleplay? or part of your previous ones, and how many roleplay threads do you have going at the moment on Genesis?
Lavia Lavine: Yes Thirza it is and it's open to any who would like to make it come to life. Our Roleplays are all open IF people want to join, getting them to join is the issue. Just about every region I do is for RP. Though we have one underway that is going to be for education.
Terri S: Please come back so many regions - even winter to enjoy.
Petlove Petshop: I love the birds & all the other critters
Lavia Lavine: This region will connect in story line with Amasango and that is where the new "dark" enemy comes in that Apsonsi and Calia will have to join forces to fight, Calia is the queen of the Djinn.
Next stop was the Tumaini Islets, where everyone's a tree dweller.
Lavia Lavine: They are also guarded by the wind guardian and her mages and by this Lamassu This is a Lamassu Eagle. These people protect these islets and many other places and they raise the baby monsters
Alex Salamander: Nice bird songs :-)
Lavia Lavine: Eagle songs. Here they raise all kinds of nuts like me, I grew up here LOL
Lavia Lavine: Not to rush things but I really want to show you all something and send you on a hunt to find something very special. It's a well hidden secret. Leshmor has dragons but in the war they were nearly all wiped out. Some of their eggs were found still safe so they were hidden to be hatched and raised to restore the dragons of Leshmor
Lavia Lavine: the island is watched over by peepers and tiny fairies that will chase you around till you leave LOL
Koshari Mahana: Love all the eyes
Lavia Lavine: Here you can see little peepers bobbing around looking for anything that shouldn't be
Lavia Lavine: This was once their castle and courtyard
Lavia Lavine: These are the four mage sisters who were lost in the war. This memorial is for 4 mage sisters who were lost in the war with the Djin
Thirza Ember: it's such a rich tapestry of history lore and landscape I love it
Dings Digital: and I like the landscape, it is so immersive
James Atlloud: I'm soaking in it now.
Cooper Swizzle: I like the cave an the floating Dragon
Lavia Lavine: I'm glad you enjoy it
Thirza Ember: Lavia thank you so much for being as always a gracious and kind host
Petlove Petshop: this is what virtual worlds excel at... so glad you were free to do all this!
Terri S: I thank you even tho I mostly support Lavia and other builders here on Grid..a true gem.
Dings Digital: Thank you for this beautiful tour
Taarna Welles: Thank you Lavia for this wonderful tour.
Thirza Ember: another weird and wonderful tour -
Beth.Ghostraven: Thank you so much, Lavia!
Lavia Lavine: Terri is a wonderful help, I'd be lost without her. You are most welcome Thank you all so much for coming
